does anyone know if the front and rear diffs lock on a stock xterra? im looking at either a 99-04 grand cherokee or a 00-02 xterra and i need fnt and rr lock, can they do it stock? either one?

@baby13threligion xterra no... the jeep quarda-drive system have front and rear limited slips....but if i dont know what the truck have i seriously doubt u need lockers...

I have an '02 xterra 4x4 and it does not have locking diffs. The only xterras that i know of with lockers are the 05+ x's with the off road package. I'm not sure on the Jeep though.

How to drift in an xterra, (stock) drop it into first, give it some gas, once the tire starts spinning out turn the wheel alll the way to the right, letting off the gas completely, slam on the gas, crank it left this time

and it'll pull you through

i've done it on asphalt, concrete, gravel, but for some reason can't do it in grass/mud :/ in the only video i got of me off roading some chick got pissy >.> i got in "trouble"

yea its just 1st gen.i like the power in the 2nd gen but im not a fan of the look of the body

I agree I like the look of the 1st gen better but I still like my x and the interior is pretty cool. I wish there was more backup in the aftermarket part world. I have a hard time finding stuff for anything over 2004 I guess there just isnt enough demand.

Yeah, it's '03, with the first gen body. I don't like the 2nd gen body as much either. Some extra HP is always nice though, although with the BFG ATKO tires I've got on there I'm already only getting 17 mpg!

17 isnt really that bad my friends 4runner only gets about 13 or 14 mpg's but it has a 5 in lift and 35's.but 17 is about avg for a suv,if it had more power it would get better mpg's burns up to much gas pulling that heavy frame,do you have any after market engine parts on it, e3 plugs and intakes always help
