This is just plainly biased against the real revolutionaries. They depict Jean Paul Marat as some bitter and failed paranoid. He was not so, he was a respected physician, scientist and journalist, being friends with Ben Franklin, Goethe and Marquis De Sade. His skin disease was indeed contracted while in the catacombs of paris (not really the sewers) but he was not there because of poverty, he was hiding from antirevolutionary elements sent to kill him.
Wow! I'll never look at the French the same way again, even with additional point-of-views.
