i went there & took like 47 pictures. the yellow peterbilt had a christmas tree on the back with small round led truck lights 4 christmas lights & the yellow truck is on a part of the floor that rotates the truck. i guess it wasn't turning when this was filmed. i took a picture of me in the blue kenworth. i walked around 4 hours, but once u've seen the place, it's nothing big to u, but 800 truck spaces is pretty large. it's easy 2 make it difficult 2 find your truck if u forget where you parked.

Great video. I saw a old picture of Iowa 80 and it was small compared to what it is today. Another good truck stop would be the pilot in Grand Island,Ne With accesories and plenty of parking. I would love to see other truck stops follow Iowa 80's example. some truck stops I will not go to because they are @@@@holes. I would not mind spending my home time or vacation time there. Again, good work on your video. I pray I will be back driving again so that I can go to Iowa 80.

I visited the Iowa 80 a couple years ago during the Trucker's Jamboree event they hold. That was one of the most incredible places I've been to. Also, I sat inside that yellow Peterbilt. Nice video!

Now im college studying business and I want to persue being my own authority: owner Operator. Ill stick to company driver for now. Being a an otr driver is tought, but u can make the best of it. This is an independent truckstop (mom and pop) even though it bears the TA logo. alot of truckstops are utter hellholes. This one is very nice. TA is trying to improve their image, however the ones in Roanoke, VA, Ontario, CA, Jessup MD, and Atlanta GA (now closed) have rampid lot lizard and dope peddler problems. There have also been drivers killed at the locations I have Mentioned. The pilot in Birmingham AL is also a Real dive. SNI had a truck stolen there. Dallas is also bad.

I always wondered what that place was like inside. That truckstop is HUGE! I think Walcott is close to Davenport. Never been there even i'm from the central Iowa area. Looks like some good food there and some truckstops may even sell laptop pc's too as well as DVD movies.
