I personally didn't think Super Mario RPG was a very popular game (critically well received, the N64 overshadowed it, according to Wikipedia). I don't think they should bring in more recent characters to the game. I always thought it should only include "Classic" characters from the NES, SNES, and Gameboy. That is why when I see Fawful, I think "Random".
