We were fishing on the western side past the caravan park and light house.There is a lot of reef structure hard up on the beach Check at the resorts as to were you are allowed to fish We tried 80lb line but lost too many and 120lb braid 9meter of 200lb trace did the job Used poppers but no luck They took FRESH bait (whole fish -killed and cut open)on BIG hooks.Because of the weight of the bait you have to throw it in by hand-about 15 meters When they take the bait, count to ten and lock up
Did you guys have a 4wd? I'm going up on my own and will be livin out of a 2wd campervan for 10 days. How was the GT any luck on them? Did you guys bring spools of spare line?
