i have to change the fuel pump in a 98 subaru legacy ... not necessarily mechanically inclined , but dont want to pay 450 for the shop to do it ... how difficult would you say this was for you ...
@ubermensch81 I think I spent maybe like $120 on the fuel pump? Not sure if the 98 has the same pump connections.. btw the car that this video was filmed was totaled back in Feb.. I have a 97 outback now
@ubermensch81 You mean the filter on the pump or under the hood? If you are talking about the pump then yes, the new pump from NAPA came with a new filter however it's design was a bit different then the stock one so it took a but of moving around to get it to sit in the tank because the whole thing is angled and where the filter goes it's under a metal part in the tank.
