The thing is no one is exactly dominant or submissive. It depends on the situation. The best partnership is one of equality where both people know when to lead, and when to follow and trust enough to know that they don't need to dominate in order to have their needs met. That the other person will do what it takes to make them happy out of love, not because it is ordered. What a stupid way to communicate with the one person who is at the heart of your life.
Very nice and beautiful video.I am new about this Gor stuff and have read a little in the books! i think they would be nice movies, like a series, even there is already made 2 Gor -films. This movie was made that good like i wish there really WAS a planet like Gor-with 3 moons...That is a little scary though hehe, since we are used to have only one...But would be interesting too.
I don't think this video remotely states that all females were submissive on Gor, it cleary states the role of the Free Woman. The Free Woman needed to watch her step though. Men adored the female form, free or slave, but the slave gave willingly on most occasions, the Free Woman was different in her approach. This is a beautiful video, but, remember Gor is fantasy and not intended to reflect real life. Beautiful complilation of images, sure to draw some into the magic of what is Gor.
the books were made for the enjoyment of many to leanr and understand from both views what it would be like if we as a race were treated like them within its pages. this world today wouldnt have the wars that it does but it would be sorted with sword and arrow and honor and not with weapons of mass distruction. you have to look at the books as some what a utopia.
no it's true not every female was submissive. I myself could never live as a slave. But Gor is such a wonderful and interesting world I love to "visit". Caitlyn you did a wonderful job on this video.
I have read the Gor novels and I have to honestly say that I did not enjoy them. As a female Dominant I found them unrealistic in the fact that not every female is submissive. Most have no desire to be at the feet of an "alpha" male.
I also do not believe in male supremacy. I find unconsensual slavery ito be hideously ugly.
Just my opinion of course and that of my male slave who is an ex Gorean Master.
.....you misunderstand the books. it does not say that every female is submissive, but that it is in the nature to be so....but, either some do not see this, or else don`t want to. but, men are more dominate than women (not trying to be mean or anything).
Perhaps in the real world, men are more "dominant", and it is also bullshit to say there is sex equality.
Now, and this is the point I disagree with in the books, indeed not every female is submissive, and not every male dominant. The thing is, there is a natural state of domination and submission in people, MOSTLY biased in men > women; but the Books are wrong in that it categorizes exclusively genders.
But perhaps am I not "integrist" enough and have I derivated my lifestyle a bit too much.
yes, i know every male is not dominate, and that every female is not submissive, but, that may be the nature of things, nontheless. i notice that most females ask their boyfriends/husbands to do things that they need not ask for. i`ve seen women ask could they got out with their friends, when there was no need to. ...those very same women would say they have no submissive qualities. it is within every women. i`m not saying it`s right or wrong, i`m saying that`s what i see.
Yes, you are right...at 95%. Perhaps it's society conditinning, but I rather believe that's the result of the fact prehistoric men went hunting to protect the little helpless women (if you get my point..) So I do believe there is some underlying female/male condition; which can however be bypassed more or less - from the rebelling feminist (I believe it's mostly bullshit) to the type of female you describe, and of course the kajira or slave.
Wanting your partner to feel useful and appreciated, and making sure that your plans work out with each other is not submissiveness. Its called caring. Very different. Most men do the exact same. they will typically ask their wives or girlfriends to help pick out their clothing, help straighten their ties, and to help them pick out presents. I seldom see men who don't confirm plans with their spouses as well.
@lollipopfop what is said as compared to you, is not the same thing. women helping men with their ties is a lot different than women asking to do certain tasks, like going out with friends, or other such similar activities. Likewise, helping someone pick out presents is scarcely relative to this discussion.
Ah. I fell into that bad grammar trap of yours. You mean not "asking men to do something". You mean "asking men for permission to do something". Well thats just silly. Obviously when someone does that they are looking for input in a decisions, not a command. Thats why no one answers that request with a commanding "No". A desire to do what our loved ones want isn't subservience. Its just caring, as I said.
Hehe, you have a pretty lovely opinion on Gorean ownership...and I must say it is true!
This is why I somehow believe that Gor, mainly when transposed in the real world, is actually much fairer than most relationships, with clearly defined and compensating roles.
But even in the books, we have the stories of men loving Kajirae...The part near Book 8th (Hunters of Gor) and around is about Tarl and his enslaved love, and Normal describes such romances as powerful and enthralling.
There is no such thing as an "ex Gorean" master. If he was truly Gorean you would be at HIS feet.
But your lifestyle is your business.
As to Gor, it is based on the rights, privileges and duties of citizens to their homestone and caste, wherever and whatever that may be. Hence I think the popularity of the Gorean Novels - they hark back to a simpler albiet more brutal time, when air was clean, people had honour and everyone knew their place within society.
Gor is based on many historical situations, as far as I can tell. Classical Rome and Greece are big influences. Neither of those great civilizations were simple, nor particularly honorable. As for the clean air, remember that the Romans sadly used lead(a deadly poison) in the in their plumbing. The one thing both of those civilizations did have was a concept of freedom. Roman women owned property and addressed the Senate, Caecillia Matella being a powerful politician at the time.
I'd love to have Gor explained to me by a practitioner, if either you yourself are one or know of one who could be handy. I've read a few books and can't figure (aside from Master/Slave relation) how it could translate into real life?

I've always found that within relationships, men tend to be more submissive than women.
Male dominance is more accurate in the business world.
Most Masters become the enslaved, helpless against a woman's beauty and charm.
