danny carey is the most creative drummer out there right now i think. people call him a metal drummer, but he doesnt drum like any other metal drummer i ever heard. he is much more articulate than dave lombardo for example. although he is fuckin sweet, danny is more unique

I agree, Yogi. Mike's awesome but he's really just a sport drummer. He's got chops but I'd like to see him play something as interesting as Sean Reinert or Minneman. I'll take my Meshuggah or DEP over DT anyday of the week.

yeah dream theater is one of those bands who are amazingly talented but their songs arent put together all that well. they aren't all that cool as a band but on an individual level, petrrucci and portnoy are both incredible

Damn right. Portnoy's a good drummer, but this solo doesn't really show his skill off too well. Bonzo owns all rock drummers including Peart when it comes to solos.
