  • That's a prison workout. Only a small % of the population can actually do a workout such as that.. It takes years and I mean YEARS to work out to such an advanced system.. The strain on the joints can be too much for heavier people.. Curious to know how tall you are ??and how much you weigh? And how much you weighed when you began this regimen some years ago.. It is a great workout for smaller people true, but unrealalistic for the majority of people.

  • @TheDanderson6 thank. i don't lift any weights at all, i only do calisthenics. i have dvds that teach you how to do all of this, you can get my dvds from my website.

  • this guy has a great build, but I refuse to believe that all of his muscles where built solely from calesthinics alone. I think that he also does some weights and band resistance to keep that razor sharp chisseled looks.

  • @Andythefunkman You don´t have to ask this guy about weights. Look at the gymnasts. They train purely doing this kind of movements, and get to look like this. Plus the things he´s doing makes the body burn away more excess fat to make you look lean.

    but, how u know if gymnasts train purely doing calisthenics exercises ?.Because I know a very good gymnast who trains a part of his workouts with weights, not all the time but he does weights.

I have talked to an ex-gymnast that did only calisthenics, read about Jack Lalanne who believed only through a combination of weights and gymnast moves will build the proper athletes body, learned that by engaging a broader number of muscles in your exercise program will burn away fat more efficiently because of the metabolic processes take more time seize even after the workout has finished.

  • Impressive stuff. How are his legs though? Never showed him doing any jumps etc. Im not tryin to knock the dude, he has a great upper body build and core strength. But obviously all of that is much easier if you dont work your legs...

  • my legs are extrememly strong, i do more lower body then upper, without weights.

  • so you sayin you get that body straight from calisthenics workouts you do? i don't believe that. I got no muscle, how can i do that kind of stuff or even build up to it when i can't do a single pullup?

  • if you can't do a single pull up do declines. several times a day a couple days a week. once you can do 1 pull up do the same thing as with declines until you can do about 20. then the fun begins.

  • i've been doin declines, i've always called them negatives... but same difference, and in a few weeks, i was able to hold up at the top of the bar, can't pull yet, but it gets excellent results, and faster progress towards pullups.

I'm 15, I can do the flag for 10 seconds now, it's real tight.. :D I'm doing the handstand, but my balance gets off when I try to do pushups so I'm training on that and doing all freestyle on pullup bars etc bars :D Cheers mate! keep it up, I'll catch you when I get older.

  • i never did a lot of calistenics until I worked at a prison..I used to lift heavy weights but after seeing how ripped and cut up the inmates were I had a change of perspective on working out..inmates don't have weights but their physique is amazing..but i give you all the credit for your work out routines..
