@SnowbuttonPlay you can actually do this in the oven aswell, less mess and cook more at one time. You can also use your oven roasting pan place some water and hickory smoke liquid on the bottom, and cook your dogs on the top rack of the pan. This gives it that bbq taste. Good luck.

Tried making these the other day. It was great, but I found out you really need to have good sized hotdog buns since the hotdog gains a lot of girth with all the extra stuffs wraped around it. A small bun is just gonna fall apart. You can also turn this into bacon burger chilly dog, which's a league of it's own, as I found out.

And if you can't eat pork for religious reason. Turkey bacon also works reasonable well, though they don't tighten nearly as much as pork bacon.
