Substream was not a numbered style. It came between beatmania IIDX and 2nd style.
RED = 11
Happy Sky = 12
DistorteD = 13
GOLD = 14
DJ TROOPERS = 15
Empress = 16
Lawnmower = 17

Well thats kewl, just happy they're still making the game series.. thought the final mix 10 or so years ago was actually the "final mix"
There was a beatmania THE FINAL, which came after beatmania 7th mix, but that was beatmania (5 key). This is beatmania IIDX (7 key).
There was also a beatmania III (3), which was beatmania with a footpedal for effectors, and a floppy drive that you could save settings on.
Was that "Lawnmower" thing a joke or real?

It's been a perpetual joke for a while now that the "next" style is going to be IIDX LAWNMOWER.
I'm not 100% sure where it got started though.
There has been no official word on any IIDX after Empress yet, and there won't be until Empress is at least done with BEAT#3.
