It sounds to me as if you couldn't afford a Jetta or a proper exhaust and settled for the Golf with an after market muffler shops left over pipe! I took a look at your videos, not really much of a difference in the sound of my old car and yours except mine sounded a lot better! Keep up the good work, and one day your car will grow up.

dude if your lookin for that growly sound the cheapest way is to remove the resonator and u might make 1 or 2 more hp :p

Hey hows the gear ratio on these new jettas. like at 65 mph in 5th how much rpms does it turn? my mk3 turns almost 3000 it annoys me.

It's louder than the normal exhaust, with a little growl to it. the exhaust pipes are the same size but the muffler tip is larger than the dual tips on the stock system. the tip on the Borla exhaust measured 4 inches! The muffler is part of the Street Series, I no longer have the exact part number but they still have them on there site.

I own a Jetta myself and i'd love to put an sport exhaust under it,

i do have a question thouh...did you have to replace the black "bumper lip" to have a gab like that? cose mine dousnt look that big... my stander pipe isnt even visible...

@bjornkes No, it's the GLI valance, it came that way. I just happen to pick and have an installer the made it look really nice.

@xi2150ix It's a Borla street series model, I bought it from the company, it was the cheapest way to go.

There really isn't any drone. At first I didn't think it was loud enough, now I know it's damn near perfect in sound, in and out.

I'm also looking at the universal Maganaflows because I'm not about to spend $1k for a little noise and 5 hp.

I'm looking @ the Magnaflow part #'s 12226 or 14226, however I have the 2.0T so I'm sure it'll sound a little bit different...What did you use?

I hear you on the money part. I got the 14814 street series muffler. Yeah I don't know if there will be a difference in the sound on a 2.0. I know you have a turbo and that may change things.
