Can we all agree that we are all Civilians and Communitarians who love our communities and desire to see revitalization of those communities. Libertarianism is an ideology just like Conservatism and what is left of Liberalism. Labels create teams and teams create blindness.
This guy is an obvious idiot. Since when are all republicans rich? Hilarious. California is full of rich democrats. When trying to make a point that may have some validity, try to back it up with a solid arguement. Nobody is trying to starve anyone. This argument is overexagerated alarmist nonsense. Who is going to pay for unemployment when half the country is out of work? I guess the fed can just print some more cash.lol
That's the irony of it. Republicans aren't rich, but their policies favor the rich all the same. Corporate welfare, escalating wars, invasive government programs, tax breaks for the rich, so on. Corps take money from the people and invest it overseas, and the safety blanket for those caught in the cracks is being removed. I guess your god's good graces will save them, yeah? How's that trickle down working for you? LOL
@Mathenaut You obviously don't know what a republican is because they are anti-government programs. They are anti-war. They are anti-tax(for everybody). You sound like one of those TV educated Americans who thinks Palin is a republican. HILARIOUS. I agree about corporations being greedy bastards who take their jobs overseas. Now that they are getting rid of unions, they will bring some work back. They run America(corporate fat cats). The republocrat debate is for toothless drooling morons.
Unions aren't going anywhere, thankfully. Not that they can't use some reform, but if you think corporations are going to be responsible on their own, then you're about as knowledgeable as Palin. Corporations pay precious little in taxes in the US and they STILL push jobs overseas. If they're going to cut US workers because they can't afford decent wages and worker safety is a burden, then they don' need tax breaks and corporate welfare.
@Mathenaut You might want to look at what's happening in Wisconsin. The unions are losing their collective bargaining rights and are basically ruined. Tax breaks don't bother me as long as they're for everybody. Nobody deserves corporate welfare. Any real republican would agree. I don't belong to a party, fool. I am a libertarian. The two party system is a JOKE and only retards vote for those puppets. Your implication that I am a republican just because I know what one is makes no sense at all.
@Mathenaut When did I say I was republican? Your world is so simple isn't it? LOL I actually made fun of republicans in my last comment. You're having reading comprehension problems right? Have your mom read it to you one more time.
I'm not sure why you think that you warrant enough of my attention that I would browse through the rest of your comments and build a thorough profile of you. The best part is that you ignored the bulk of my response, zeroed in on one errant comment, then want to criticize me on reading comprehension.
@Mathenaut Look at what's happening in Wisconsin.
The previously fractioned unions have united under a powerful banner and have increased their numbers and support tenfold. Walker is the best Union Organizer that state has seen, lol. The worst that will manage is crippling funding for Obama in 2012, which was the point. With the PR disaster this has been, itmight not be enough.
"libertarian" isn't much of a title to brag on, thank Beck for that one. Also, implying that you are a repub because you defended them isn't a leap.
lpetrat2 You are the bad person. and a disgrace to the human race.. He is pleading for the people out of work and will soon have no money to feed their kids. How does that make him a bad person.
I happen to be of the generation of his grandfather and I know what he speaks is the truth..
I am so furious with you to call him a bad person. I repeat you are a disgrace to the human race you have no heart for people who are hurting. --------------------
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This man is proud of himself. This man is a disgrace to the House. There are many Senators and Congressmen whom I absolutely detest, but this is an abomination that such a cynical, lying demagogue could be elected to public office. I hope that Democrats attempt to distance themselves from this man because he is a bad person. He is the only elected representative whom I believe is a "bad person". I hope he wears that badge of dishonor across his chest for the rest of his life.
Alan, the house has called you back in session this week...
Now clean out your desk !!!! YOUR FIRED ~~~!!!!!!!!
America wants your political career to....DIE QUICKLY !!!!!
Hlaaah...Haaaaa.....haaa...Blahhh...Haaaa......political career to....DIE QUICKLY....Hlaaaa.....HAAAAA....... Pzsttttttttttttt...... PISS ON GRAYSON.
@AUSM92 Okay...so your rather have our country men work for 2 dollars a day for 14 to 16 hours a day nothing to retire on ...you really believe that those that have the gold will share any of it with you because your work hard to earn it? well show me in history where that was true...unions were started because of abuse and greed of the bosses..simple as that...now we enjoy cleaner air and safe working conditions..what we need to do is unionize the world!!! rise the pay of those overseas
@everythingeco Liberal includes freedom all of which your loser ASS will not fight for. Democrats are more Liberal; living a lie just like you. Surely not fiscal, Obama can stick the social justice attitude near his eclipse. Obama was not raised with the word Fiscal conservative.
I don’t care who you will vote, I do know you are just another dumb kid who voted for the Magic Negro.
I believe it’s time for you to move on before I run all over your ASS prior to Nov 2, 2010.
I like Alan, but kind of disagree with him here. I'm not condoning blocking the bill, don't know enough about it, but the example was a poor one. Reselling discarded items is recycling, and can be quite profitable. I did it for years, was able to hire 5 people at one time. I created jobs. People need a hand up, not a hand out. We can wait for the Gvmt to TRY to fix this situation, or we can get off our asses and fix it ourselves.
@AUSM92 oh and yes!! I m a firm believer in the Union ideals...We the blue collar workers have to unite and demand fair treatment, fair pay, and fair working conditions..I m proud to stand beside my fellow Americans and i pray that one day all of the workers around the world will come together and rise the quality of life for all!...the reason why our jobs are leaving this country is because the rich men have founded a way to work those poor souls for food and to hell with polluting their waters
@AUSM92 I m responding to your post but i really voicing to your readers...maybe i can change one of them to reason....no the housing bubble did not start because Clinton force a bank to loan money to minority borrowers ...that really don't make sense if you think about a man giving up money to people who couldn't prove that they weren't able to repay. The problem came about because the fat wall street guys bundled up mortages into securities thus generating a supply and demand for more loans.
@soleeforu Those same mortaged back securities rised the value of real estate because of the easy money that they produced on the global markets for those instruments. The whole thing fell about when the buyers got spooked and stop buying them after learning that the bankers were loaning money to anyone that asked due to the demand of the securities...and don't forget how the rating houses lied placing a false triple A rating on them to entice more buyers that didn't show up one day...etc.
@soleeforu History has a funny way of re-writing it's self...but if your over the age of 40 or 50, chances are you know what really happen and who's to blame...The Bush government should have stepped in and asked why was the real estate sector rising so fast and how could it be sustained? They didn't...they were too busy spending 1 billion dollars a month over seas shoring up their big oil buddies power play for cheap oil just so you can drive your car to the store and borrow a loaf of bread.
America voters will remove 73 to 100 Democrats in the House on Nov 2, 2010.
Looks like 1894 when GOP gained 100 House seats. Obama is the worst President in America’s history. Liberals been playing the bag holders for many years. Please vote to move America forward, false hope is a Liberal lie.
The GOP keeps the world safe, Iraq is a free Country now, don’t believe otherwise.
Democrats never fight for freedom. Democrats are taking freedom from America, governing against Americans.
Don't kid yourself, Liberals have been using you for your vote for many years. Liberal are no more for the middle class than the GOP. Take a look at health care, nothing done to lower the cost, health care scam was nothing more than another scam to gain middle class votes. Like I said, this country is not a Liberal Country, the left are using people just like you.
Liberals get you to think just like you are, the GOP cares for everyone.
@xxxmailbin You used the word "Liberal" 7 times. You do understand the word liberal means free right? And when you say "liberal", are you speaking socially or fiscally? I suspect you're one of the people who uses the word a lot without giving any thought to the context or meaning of the word. If you're bashing Dems, bash dems, but the "liberal" thing makes you look stereotypically stupid. FYI I'm certainly not a dem, but would never vote for the idiot Reps available.
to no one...I think its true that all animals that share the same DNA genectic coding in variations...one script is like the spider...he sits alone weaving his web and hating every other thing...then there is the script of the Ants...they live in community and share the food and care for the young in their nests...and so you have the republicain spiders always crying out " to hell with everybody"
@AUSM92 Okay so do you want to go back to those days when you seen the soup lines, old people staving and dying in the streets...what about those children of the men and women that worked hard paid their taxes for years including paying into the unemployment system while they were working building this great country, to let em suffer because you think that American's don't need a safety net to fall into...if your family have money it probably was made off the backs of those same workers...
America does not need another redneck loud mouth such as Grayson. Grayson will be shown the exit door Nov 2, 2010 for his poor leadership and continued lies. Grayson just like all Liberals are nothing but big time bull shitters telling a group of voters what they want to hear.
Socialism will NEVER happen, save your loser ASS now and vote GOP to move America forward. Stop being used by the left scam.
Liberals have been using minority voters for decades.
@xxxmailbin I wish i could vote for Grayson...I love his voice and I hope that his people will re-vote that man in ...I love watching him take it to the Federal reserve and how he questioned the government official on where the money is being spent...I love his passion for the blue collar workers....l think that he's a breath of fresh air a man's man...I sorry that you have to defend your views from the wrong side...Liberals have been using minorities cause we believe they include us not hate us
I love Alan Grayson for standing up to the cold hearted members of our community...he's a fighter for what is right...we the people...if only those that fight against this man could see that our country is made up of people...not a herd of pack rats...but people...we should help each other, educate our children and be a part of a community, be a family...some people think that to care for your fellow man is wrong, just push them to the side and grab everything for only themselves...heartless
Alan Grayson is an ignorant, ranting, moron. Sure, let's give insurance to all non working Americans paid for by the hard working Americans who actually get things done in this country. Let's pay the drug dealers, illegals, and lazy people unemployment. Then give them healthcare and food stamps. I know the intention is to help the unemployed that are actually trying to find work but where is the incentive to work if you are given everything if you don't? Liberalism is a disease that needs to be
@bdickity69 so if you have children...do you not take care of them or do you make them watch you eat while they stave just because you made the money...do you care? ...sometimes its has to be a community effect to survival...man kind has always been like that, look in history where it took a group effort to hunt the mamoth, butcher it and bring back the meat for all to share...it s the reason we are still here...you on the other hand would have hunted alone, and died alone...and probably stole
Maxine Waters (California Democrat, Liberal) confirms Democrats true intentions with the slip of the tongue. Maxine Waters indicated liberal’s goal is socialism, government taking over, running all your companies.
Media spin master Ed Schultz for 80 plus days tried to destroy BP, government socialism progress. (2006 gas 2.17, good economy) Democrats won the house 2006, everything went downhill since.
You tube search Maxine Waters slip of the tongue or simply view from my handle.
@xxxmailbin Look at what happens in a purily capitalistic system of government...you had people dying in the streets...all of the money naturally collected to a very few men that ran monopolies...workers earnings fell to nothing.... and people like you when they didn't have anything went to war so that they could steal what they needed from weaker tribes...familes dispersed no communities...just bands of thieves...this is the world you want? ...why?...
@soleeforu I believe in freedom, free markets, and free market capitalism. Don’t ever kid yourself to think Democrat Liberals are on your side. People like you have been used for many years by the left. America will always be a Conservative Nation. The Government is the problem not Capitalism, Government interference. Free markets made America. Government will never take care of you.
GOP is for all Americans, Grayson is a politician who will lose Nov 2, 2010.
@xxxmailbin well to be truthful I vote for my own pockets...I m a blue collar east coast union worker since the early 80's ...and in doing so..I've noticed that this country has since i ve been born always made the greatest advances both in my personal earnings and the governments budgets and social advances under Democrate leadership going all the way back to Clinton...I think that the Republican's are for the war mongols and big oil...where they have nothing for the common man getting work.
@xxxmailbin People like me have been pushed to the side and placed out of work by the republician's pushing for the war machine...they spend all of our taxes on building weapon systems for big oil to murder poor people over seas so that we can drive our cars...but they don't allow any building of bridges, roads, schools, police, trash removal, fire, etc...look at how all of the blue collar jobs have exit our shores...oh yea we build the best missles in the world but those jobs only employ a few
Th seven children that Grayson was raising survived. The America Grayson wants is one where his grandfather sits on his ass and waits for his government check to arrive in the mail.
Representative Grayson, do not try to act like you know what the average american citizen lives like. you make 174,000 dollars a year and you get a pention after serving one term of two years. Don't try to act like your innocent. your a politician, your always gonna try and sound like you know what americans are going through and that you feel their pain and sincerely care. we are not stupid Mr. Grayson. we know this job is just a paycheck for you. enough with the lies. Americans are fed up!!!
@mewimi yes i did. great story, but it still does not mean that it is the governments job to make everyone happy. its the governments job to make laws, provide a defense, ensure justice etc. etc. do not believe a man just because he says some nice things and tells a sad story. it was his goal with that speech to make republicans look evil, when it was socialism from democrats that has caused us to sink this far.
@Blazeboy1228 Uh... "socialism" what effing socialism? You guys on the right use this word way to much, and don't even know what it means lol. There is NO socialism going on here, if you want to see true socialism, go open a book :/
If anything BOTH sides are playing corporatist which is FAR from left wing ideals... and I can't even begin to grasp your concept that "socialism" has "caused us to sink this far" lol. Tax cuts, pointless wars, and lack of regulation, are the causes.
@mewimi I will gladly tell you that i know very well what socialism is. and if you opened your eyes you would see it. The health care bill that was recently passed is pure socialism, and socialism is very active in ceartain states such as California and Illinois. those are just a few examples. I think that you may need to read a bit more. And, tax cuts have not gotten us here. in fact, the majority of economists agree that tax cuts are an excellent stimulus. And the wars that we fought and
@mewimi and continue to fight have not hurt us the way you make it seem. are wars expensive? yes. but can a price on the existance of you country? these wars are far from pointless mewimi. try telling that to U.S. Veteran who got his leg blown off in Afghanastan. Plus, history shows that government regulation on buisness, Wall Strett etc. etc. actually hurts the economy. it brings consumer demand down almost 14 percent. by the way, the government bailing out buisnesses is socialism.
@Blazeboy1228 Clearly I know what true socialism is, these joke systems claiming to be "socialist" are far beyond what true social is. You can use all of your examples, but by definition those examples fail. You are only sighting example, poor implementation and foolishness.
Bailing out businesses isn't socialist, thats just all around government, FYI, Bush went with bailouts, are you going to say he is a socialist? LOL
As usual.... where is the reality here? Corporate healthcare
@mewimi since you know so well what is is i would think you would be able to see it happening around you. Look around you. Everywhere, anyone who has worked hard in their life, made money and owns a lot of property is targeted. Just for working hard and making money! the founder created America in a way that people could suceed in making money and some could become rich. so why are they targeted with ridiculous taxes and then have their money given to the poor. that is socialism. that is
@Blazeboy1228 You make faulty assumption and pretend I don't have any facts on anything, based on the little information I have given you about my views. You create pseudo facts and use them as an accusation. The fact is, the tax cuts for the rich, will cost us Trillions of dollars. No one should be getting tax cuts period until we fix our issues with the deficit, it's a harsh reality, but we need to dig ourselves out of this whole as a country, not as a party.
@mewimi yes, i will continue to support the wealthy because it is their money that they earned and worked for. they are not the ones screwing people over hear, its the Federal goverment and the corrupt international banks that are working with the Federal Reserve! for some reason whenever anything goes wrong with the economy the rich are the first to be blamed. all the did was work hard. if you want to blame someone, Blame the feds and crooks on wall street who cant pay their own debts.
@Blazeboy1228 You will continue to support the wealthy? Who do you think is incharge of those banks? Those oil companies? Those health insurance nazis? The government? and it is a known fact that taxes on the rich, improves the economy, not make it worse. But again, I am for EQUAL percentage based taxes that apply to everyone, however against taxing the poor.
So if you become less wealthy you pay less taxes, and if you become more wealthy you pay more. Fair and simple.
@Blazeboy1228 Redistribution of wealth? You use right wing talking points. Hardly, you clearly know nothing about me,and making more upon more faulty assumptions. Based on what? Nothing, the rich are flying our country into the ground, and you want them to keep their Bush tax cuts? Banks and Corporate interests groups are screwing over our economy and simultaneously screwing up the worlds economy.
Are you going to continue to support to wealthy until we are all destitute, rich and poor?
@mewimi I do not believe that i once claimed to know anything about you that you did not post in our conversation. For your information, Bill Gates the multibillionare founder of microsoft donates vast amounts of his fourtune every year. hes saved millions of lives without the government taking his money. and maybe the banks wouldnt be freaking out if the government wasn't regulating every move they make. its the same thing on Wall Street. The governments job is not in any buisnesses! And
@Blazeboy1228 You do not claim anything you know about me? Yet you imply things that I havn't even said, and place me into some form of category.
and FYI, regulation is REQUIRED, the moment the joke of a tea party and other de-regulators get a hold of our government, is the moment this country is dead. DEAD, you think Banks should be able to gamble away your money for short term gains? and then get bailed out by the government? If you think they should be able to gamble, then...HA
@mewimi miss, i never implied you said anything and i never placed you in a cattegory. I think that you need to have a little bit more faith in the american consumer. You see, banks have a trend to often end up with reputations. and if the government would back off, the banks that gambled peoples savings would not be used by americans. i guarantee you. we are still a bit smarter than that. the banks would destroy themselves if they did, which they wouldnt. they are very smart men.
@Blazeboy1228 Faith based systems are foolish. That is like saying the banks can scam you, and if you trusted the banks then it is your fault. That is absolutely ludicrous.
@mewimi well, when the banks see that they now will have to play by the rules of the american people or they will lose everything maybe they will be a little less likely to scam you, hmm? one slip, and everyone sees. And i would trust the banks before i trusted the federal reserve.
@Blazeboy1228 Um... not everyone is deeply involved in their banks activities. You have any idea how EASY it is to trick someone into believing you are trust worthy? Take proposition 8 for example, the people 52% of people believed in the lies promoted by yes on 8 campaign.
What you want is a no accountability for ones actions greed based system, the american people should be punished for someone scamming them? not the law. That is called legalizing theft.
@mewimi lol. not once did i say no accountability. the banks crimes should be handled in the justice department but that all that we need the government doing in the banks. should banks be held accountable for crimes:yes. but why does the government feel the need to become involved in the banks activities? let the men run their buisness. untill they break the law, then the judicial branch gets involved. the executive branch's job is to catch them breaking the law, but i assure you that the
@mewimi the government does not need men on the banks board of directors to catch crime. absolute minimum involvement is the point i am trying to get across.
@Blazeboy1228 OR Maybe, we should just let corporations trash our environment? That would be another example of government intervention in "businesses"
As for healthcare, healthcare is a joke and just more corporate nonsense. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with socialism, and if you looked at the actual proposed "reform" you'd see, almost NOTHING changed in terms of healthcare. Except now we are mandated to buy overpriced corporate health insurance which is total bull.
@mewimi no it wouldnt be. the department of commerce deals with buisness, that would be the department of the interior. two very different things. not buisness. And now you are making accusations about me. lol. i did read the proposed reform. and i saw a lot. a lot of ways for greedy men to pocket money and get benfits. and it screwed all of us. and you are right, the insurance is bull
Representative Grayson, I think you need to hear this quote. "The U.S. Constitution dosen't guarantee happiness, only the pursuit of it. You have to catch up with it yourself."
The Republicans somehow somewhere in their tiny little brain Believed that they could give Billions of dollars worth of tax cuts for the wealthy, and still be able to afford 2 Wars! And on top of that, George Bush claimed that he would never raise taxes? How can we afford Billions in tax cuts and 2 wars that have dragged on both for nearly a Decade? I now see the brilliance within the Republicunt party! "George W Bush was the worse President in the History of The United States"-Donald Trump.
argumentum ad misercordiam. Capitalism is the reason our living standard are so much higher today. Look around at the amount of products you take for granted. The strides in efficient farming is the reason we can feed so many mouths today.
got an e-mail from you about being a bust [sic} boy. Very random. Now you post here with this anti-Democrat tripe that is totally off the mark. What are you trying to say and what does this have to do with me?
@majorgeek That'd be nice, but we have to think realistically. Obama's running for re-election in 2012, and no one will have a chance at taking the nomination away. Run Grayson as the VP candidate since Biden's foreign policy cred is no longer needed, then after 4 years of VP experience, give him the nod for the top slot in 2016.
Empty chamber, yes. But there was a camera in there which obviously got him a lot of much-needed attention. If this was 1910, it might not have mattered.
@sillynanny44 if you voluntarily live in America, then you voluntarily go by the rules. If you don't like the Constitution, then start a movement to abolish it.
@hawaiidiver68 libertarians like me are the ones that actually follow the constitution. constitution limits govt. govt is force. it's not voluntary. it should be used defensively against theft, fraud, or aggression (putting ppl in jail, national defense). it should not run ppl's lives or businesses. it shouldnt invade other countries. idolatry -> statism -> lawless lobbyists using govt to cheat, steal etc (rich stealing from poor, poor stealing from rich etc)
@sillynanny44 and there was a huge argument between the framers of our constitution, some said it was too broad and that it could be subject to individual interpretation and the other side was that if they made it more specific then it would be easily argued that if the rights werent in there, then the people didnt have those rights. The constitution is a fluid document, it is subject to interpretation and change, it has to be in order for it to survive.
@hawaiidiver68 the constitution is simple and it clearly limits government and it should. the idea that people should have more than one interpretation of the constitution is nonsense. logic never changes. morality never changes. ppl should always have their natural rights. continue..
@sillynanny44 morality is constantly changing, look throughout history, and you will see the patternn of change. the same goes with logic. read some of the different philosophers throughout time, and you will see how it changes. and not only that, look as how different people view things differently. what i think is logical, others disagree. i bet people disagree with your logic as well. and natural rights have been debated over the centuries, so what have we decided they are?
@hawaiidiver68 that's nonsense. i do look at history and what change is the people. their view of morality/logic change but morality and logic doesnt change. when people fail at being moral/logical they suffer the consequences. just because you believe in something doesnt make it true. you're not making sense. natural rights are rights that doesnt go in conflict w/ other ppl's rights like freedom of speech, right to own priv property etc
@sillynanny44 you and I are both middle of the road kind of people, average, everyday and we cannot come to an agreement, how do you expect those who are way above our pay grade, with higher eductation and much bigger egos to come to agreement? i restate- we the people cannot agree for more than 2 seconds on any given subject, so which one of we the people do you want governing you and those around you who happen to disagree with you?
@hawaiidiver68 im a principled libertarian. those arrogant ppl have all kinds of shiny badges but they're fools because they think they can run the lives of individuals. they couldnt & they shouldnt do that. the country shouldnt be majority rule & it shouldnt be minority rule. individuals should run their own lives. the answer to your 2nd question is that i dont want ppl running my life & i shouldnt run other ppl's lives & i shouldnt use politicians to run other ppl's lives either.
@sillynanny44 and once again, you prove my point. we cannot agree. I respect your postition on the matter, but government is necessary. the more we change, government has to change right along with us. if we get bigger, then government has to keep up. laws have to change to keep up with the eveer increasing needs of the people as well. we want to believe that people will do the right thing, but the reality is we won't. especially if we cannot agree on what the right thing is. hence government
@hawaiidiver68 lol you dont have a clue to what you're saying. first of all i already told u there should be a govt. i already told you that we libertarians believe in limited govt to put ppl in jail for theft, fraud and aggression. "the more we change" i already addressed your nonsense. morality/logic doesnt change and we shouldnt degenerate, govt should always be used defensively. laws can give what ppl need/want? lol? wrong. private sector can give what ppl need/want. continue...
@hawaiidiver68 continue... big govt hurts the economy/country. it takes away the things ppl need/want. "the right thing". big govt is force. it is basic morals that we shouldnt commit acts of aggression. humans are bad so you want to be an intellectual sloth and commit idolatry w/ govt/politicians/humans? u want to give them the power to commit acts of aggression? govt should put criminals in jail for theft, aggression & fraud to destroy the incentives for crime. it shouldnt commit crimes itself
@sillynanny44 "if we get bigger then gov has to keep up" gov should always be limited & small. it should always only do the job of defending ppl. only w/ limited gov can we get bigger (economic growth, etc). when country becomes more healthy & wealthy the govt should still be limited. if gov is big we wont get bigger, the country would get destroyed. ha cant you see? we have14 digit debt, 15 digit unfunded liabilities, 22% unemployment/underemployment, inflation, wars, bureacracies, welfare etc
@hawaiidiver68 first of all i know that many ppl are dependent on big govt but they're dependent because govt eliminated fm characteristics. they want govt to solve the problem that it creates. that's a fallacy. the ideal is to just have fed govt for national defense and states to put ppl in jail for crimes.
@sillynanny44 once again, what exactly would part of our government would you get rid of? to say federal gov should only provide for our defense is unrealistic. when local and state government refuses to meet the needs of the people they should have recourse in the federal government.
@hawaiidiver68 i told you what part i would get rid of. govt should only put ppl in jail for theft, aggression and fraud. it shouldnt do anything else. only fed govt is good at national defense and that should be it's only job. "when local/state gov refues to meet the needs of the ppl they should have recourse in the fed gov" only local/state govt is effective at putting criminals in jail.
@sillynanny44 i really could have sworn there was more to the constitution than just national defense. i am trying hard not to be sarcastic, just trying to understand how you can say that you are all for the constitution but chose to ignore everything the constitution stands for, ensures and protects. it makes no sense to me, that is why i asked for specifics. and your answer is to get rid of all of it except national defense??
@hawaiidiver68 first of all you're being myopic i was talking about the ideal libertarian society. our constitution is very close to the ideal. nonlibertarian stuff in the constitution are few. of course to get to the ideal we'd have to amend post office etc. if we follow the constitution we'd have a very small govt, but it would not constitute 100% libertarian. i want fed gov for national defense. state/local gov to put criminals in jail. continue..
@sillynanny44 continue... so i do follow the constitution. if we follow the constitution gov would be small. if we follow the constitution and amend to get rid of the few nonlibertarian powers of govt then the country would be 100% free.
@hawaiidiver68 it's not logical to reject freedom(libertarian ideology). you're not a libertarian because you're foolish and immoral. there are lots of people like you.
@sillynanny44 libertarians do not hold the market on freedom. and the fact that we can disagree is what makes this country great. i am sorry that you have to resort to character bashing just because we do disagree. but it still proves my point that 'we the people' cannot agree for more than 2 seconds, so it is damned near impossible to please any of 'we the people' it is clear that libertarian ideology falls very short on what our gov actually and the responsibilities ofour gov.
@hawaiidiver68 libertarian do believe in free market. just because u say we dont doesnt make it true. fm = no aggression, no theft no fraud. that's called libertarianism. the fact that we can disagree is a characteristic of libertarianism, i can believe in freedom u can believe in statism. but if u act on the belief of statism & grow gov u'd be taking away my freedom. every1 should believe in freedom so they can run their lives the way they want. continue...
@sillynanny44 freedom is a subjective ideology. and once again, libertarians do not hold the market on freedom. what freedoms have you been denied from our government?
@hawaiidiver68 freedom is when there is no aggression, no theft & no fraud. that's freedom. just because fools dont accept that definition & believe in another definition doesnt make them right. libertarians do believe in free market. just because u say we dont doesnt make it true. u fail to back your claims w/ substance. govt forces us to accept a currency that they can & does inflate. govt steals from us. govt runs ppl's businesses. gov ban guns. govt infronge on our right of priv property etc
@sillynanny44 you very own platform states that the government has the responsibility to protect your rights. the constitution forces you to accept a national currency, after all, how would you like to have to change out currency every time you visited another state? how would you like the wealthy in your community make a run on your bank, and not have federal backing, therefore not have money in your account? continue...
@hawaiidiver68 arrogant idiot. u dont have a clue to what u r saying. in order to protect our rights gov would have to act defensively. it should put ppl in jail for theft, fraud and aggression. govt should not commit those crimes itself. constitution says sound money "No State shall ... coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;" if a bank doesnt have my money that's fraud/theft. govt should put those bankers in jail.
@sillynanny44 continued... it is the free market that sets inflation, not the government. and as for controlling our business, there has to be regulations. how would you like to have asbestos in your house? how would you like to have lead in your paint and in products that children play with? how would you like to have unregulated opiates in your medicines or foods? or work 12 hrs a day and only get paid for 6? cont...
@hawaiidiver68 continue... it is the government that prints money govt creates the inflation. fractional reserve banking would be outlawed because it constitute fraud/theft. our govt is criminal our fed institutionalized frb. govt should act defensively so it should put fr bankers in jail. there is different between rule of law & regulation. rule of law = putting ppl in jail for crimes. regulation is govt commiting crime to try to prevent other ppl from commiting crime.
@sillynanny44 employers would have to make a contract w/ the employee about how much they're to be paid. govt nonsense like minimum wage laws creates unemployment. go read my comment about the difference between rule of law and regulation
@sillynanny44 and what do you mean working for 12 hours and paid for 6. 6 hrs? once contract is made govt enforce it. if employer says x is the wage for 12 hours and employee aggreed then if the employer pays y that would be fraud. the market determines what's the right wage. read my previous comment about contracts and why there shouldnt be minimum wage laws.
@sillynanny44 government ban on guns, yes, everybody should be able to keep and bear arms, like criminals, the insane, those that are mentally challenged. there has to be limititations. my right to purchase a gun has not been affected, and neither has yours unless you fall into the above catagory, with the exception of spousal abuse, and i even agree with that law, as we know abusers escalate and can cause serious harm and death. i do have the right to say certain people cannot own guns.
@hawaiidiver68 ... u fool.... didnt i say criminals would be put in jail? in libertarian country once the aggression is done they're put in jail. the ppl should be abled to own guns. ''U.S. Supreme Court: Chicago's gun ban struck down'' ppl who didnt commit aggression, theft, fraud should have their freedom.
@sillynanny44 and i did not say you don't believe in free market, i said you dont hold the market on freedom. what I should have said is that your belief in freedom is not the only one out there. you say government is force, well, duh, people have to be threatened by force to do the right thing, or they have to be forced into jail. we have freedoms, but freedom has to have boundaries.
@hawaiidiver68 libertarians are onlly ones who believe in true freedom. govt is force it should be used defensively. once it uses force aggressively it would doing the wrong thing itself. look im just repeating myself. i already refuted your nonsense before u even wrote those comments.
@sillynanny44 i may be a fool, and i may be arrogant, and i may be myopic, but i do not fear my government and i do not feel that it has in any way stepped on my rights, liberties or freedoms as an American citizen-I believe in my country, as I have defended it against all enemies. you truly believe in your own brand of freedom, which steps on my freedoms. my dad once said that we are free to live within the boundaries or we are free to suffer the consequences. somebody has to set the boundaries
@hawaiidiver68 hahahaha u dont make any sense. that's not healthy. i already gave u the reasons why u should fear the consequences of your actions. fear the consequence of big gov or else this country wont act prudently. "i dont feel" why use logic when u can feel? HA. i already gave u examples of how u lost your rights, liberties & freedoms. u havent defend this country u are destroying it. im not stepping on ur freedom. u r taking way mine. constitution limits govt. libertarianism = freedom
@sillynanny44 i shouldn't have used the term 'i dont feel' I should have said, my rights have not been taken away. i own/op my own business, the gov doesnt tell me what i can produce or what service i provide. i own my own guns, they aren't banned, i own my own property, without interference from the gov. the laws that tell me i cant discriminate don't apply to me because I don't discriminate, and the min wage laws dont either as i pay above state and fed requirements.
@hawaiidiver68 of course some places in the u.s have more freedom than others. im saying that when u see other ppl losing their freedom soon ull lose more of your freedom. being apathetic or supportive of big govt makes you guilty. in the u.s govt burden the creation of business w/ bureacracies and other nonsense. govt does try to run businesses. SC just struct down chicago gun ban. 5-4 decision what's w/ the 4? govt shouldnt infringe on priv property rights. min wage -> unemployment.
@sillynanny44 you repeat over and over and over again about how bad big gov is, and yayy you can say rule of law is good and regulation is bad, but regulation is not bad, it is how it is used that has the potential to be bad. but thanks for the discussion, it will help with my pol sci thesis on myopic political ideologies.
@hawaiidiver68 you idiot. govt regulations are unconstitutional. so govt is breaking the law w/ those regulations which constitute acts of aggression, theft, fraud. those 3 crimes cannot be good. lol ppl like u will keep on destroying this country & u will all get what u deserved. look at u. u are saying that big gov is good? do less mental contortion and use common sense. u r embarrasing yourself.
@sillynanny44 government has to change as the needs of the people and the country change. and it was generations of people that slowly gave the government more power, the government didnt just take it away. as each generation sets legal precedence they do not take into consideration what that will morph into in a few generations, they only care about today, and their own needs. our great grandparents created the government we have today, now it is up to us to create one for future generations
@hawaiidiver68 cont. big govt steals & harms the country/economy. govt is force it should always be used defensively not aggressively. it shouldnt run ppl's businesses or lives or invade other countries. ppl can only have wealth when they have freedom. ppl get what they want/need in the private sector, big govt ruins the economy. again logic/morality never changes so govt shouldnt change. it was a big mistake to give govt so much power. we should have limited govt & so should future generations.
@sillynanny44 does common sense support sweat shops? does common sense support child labor? does common sense support monopolies? does common sense support genocide? does common sense support dumping toxins into our land, water and air? or are those regulations against such acts ok? how is it right to have to depend on the income of a 7 yr old to support a family? know what i am talking about? you seem to think that we lived in some type of free utopia before the decent of "big gov".
@hawaiidiver68 u dumb idiot. 8 questions. 1 it is in the employers interest to make the work easier for better production. 2 it is not in the employer's interest to use kids if the work is dangerous or hard. it is capitalism that can get rid of child labor by increasing wealth. 3 capitalism = competition. govt = monopoly lobbyists = monopoly 4 genocide? that's caused by govt u dumb idiot 5 private property = no pollution w/o permission. 6 regulation caused those problems continue..
@sillynanny44 continue.. 7 it is govt that inflates the currency that lowers income it is govt that steals capital from the employer that lowers income it is govt that burden businesses w/ nonsense gov managment that lowers income. u depraved moron. it is capitalism that has sound money, low taxes no income tax. capitalism is the ONLY anti war system. capitalism has better income & lower cost u dont decide what income is good, the market does. capitalism has unions, businesses who dont use force
@sillynanny44 you have a very revised version of history. free market does what it is supposed to do, make money. they do it any way they can. is it in the employers best interest, what a crock, especially when there are thousands to take the place of a disgruntled worker who wont make waves, just work. you go on and on about local/state being the best way to prosecute criminals, yet it is the local and state that tries its damnedest to step on indiviuals rights cont
@hawaiidiver68 revised version of history? i refuted your nonsense. i dont have a revised version of history u do. in order to make money they have to serve the consumer. free market = consumer rule. in a fm ppl can start businesses themselves & unions would be allowed & employers would want to get hard working employees who put good effort in working so they pay better. it's easier to shrink big local/state govts than big fed gov. all big govts are bad.
@sillynanny44 you rant about the gun ban, which was a state legislation and the SC, part of the fed gov said it was unconstitutional, but you insist the state is a much better governer of rights. talk about myopic. gov burden, have you ever had to file for wokmans comp? ever been injurred on the job? how woul you like it if your company didn't have some sort of compensation and didn't have to pay for it, and you couldnt work that job anymore, where would you get the money to retrain for
@hawaiidiver68 5-4 decision. if the fed govt takes away rights it affects every1. inflation tax, spending, redistribution, etc. i already addressed that nonsense. it is easier to shrink big local state govts than big fed govt. all statist govts are bad. u emotional idiot. employees would make contracts w/ the employer, both parties have to agree and hc has high cost because of inflation, bureacracies, mandated hmo, elimination of competition, etc in a fm there would be more jobs cont
@sillynanny44 another job? you are a fool if you think that business is all for your best interest. they can and do fight the system to keep as much of their money as possible, how much easier would it be for them to keep it if they didn't have a system to fight against? and unions are a civillian form of gov and have been known throught our history of becoming corrupt as well. i have never known of a strike that has not cost a worker more than they have gained.
@hawaiidiver68 and easier to start businesses yourself. businesses work in their interest so do the employees, the contract = the agreement. in a fm unions would exist but they wouldnt get to use force of govt. when u have big govt u help the lobbyist/businesses cheat. union lobbyists are also lawless and harmful to the economy too. unions are not gov in fm they dont use force in fm.
@sillynanny44 business doesnt have to use 'force' unless you consider holding your ability to provide for your family hostage force. and if they werent forced to do the right thing, they wouldnt, to think otherwise would be living in a different dimension. it was regulation that stopped sweat shops and child labor, not the the ultruistic intentions of business. after all it is in the best intrest of business to use the cheapest labor possible.
@hawaiidiver68 lol u r being emotional and dishonest. i already told u, in a fm u can start a business yourself, employer would have to make contract w/ employee, unions would be allowed in fm. if u force them to do things not only is the act of aggression wrong but your arbitrary nonsense would go in conflict w/ the market which is also wrong. it was capitalism that made it possible to create safer better enviroment workplace. capitalism = wealth to eliminate child labor continue...
@sillynanny44 capitalism is where employers wouldnt hire weak kids to do difficult/dangerous work because that doesnt get them money. it is statism/regulation that makes countries poor so they're reduced to slavery, hard work, mass murder, poor starving kids who does all kinds of hard work. it is in the business interest to make money so they have to get competent employers. the employers would also have to agree w/ the contract. the businesses also serves the consumerm, lower cost innovate etc
@sillynanny44 so i am wrong about child labor in the US? WE HAD IT, it was the goverment that put a stop to it, not the free market. are you really that closed minded? I get around gov regulations all the time. I hire private contractors and I DO NOT provide them with anything. I don't pay their taxes, I don't provide any kind of insurance, not even workmans comp, I send them a 1099 at the end of the year, they're responsible for everything but getting the job.
@hawaiidiver68 it is the fact that we had some free market characteristics which got us more wealth that got rid of child labor u idiot. we are suppose to be talking about whether if every single individual has their freedom. you are just one individual. regulations? i already told u we should have rule of law not regulation u idiot. regulations burden businesses & business creation, it eliminates competition. in fm there wouldnt be income tax inflation tax continue...
@sillynanny44 continue... insurance? i already told u it is govt mandated hmo, govt elimination of competition, govt bureacracies, govt inflation that caused the problem of costly healthcare. insurance should be for big problems like heart attacks, cancer. govt created the incentive for the use of insurance which cause high prices. in fm w/ contracts employers and employees would have to listen to each other about what they want
@sillynanny44 if they get overtime, then I get overtime, it is a really cool system that thwarts the so called gov controll over my life. you talk and talk about signing a contract witht he worker, but it is the employer that holds all the cards in negotiating the terms of that contract, and if i have 500 people applying for one position, I hold the power. I believe in free market, and I know how to avoid gov regulations that protect the worker.
@hawaiidiver68 lol u r nasty and viscious i already addressed your nonsense. overtime? overtime pay? if they worked then they should get the money. the contract would protect them. both side would get what they deserve. hold all the cards? i already refuted that nonsense. unions would be allowed. ppl dont have to work for u. ppl can start businesses themselves. there would be contracts. there should be no regulations. there should be rule of law. u are distorting libertarianism
@sillynanny44 no i am not distorting libertarianism, i am extorting capitalism. i dont have employees, i have private contractors, therefore, no union required. they dont have to work for me, it is their choice to sign my contract. they have the option to not have work, or go someplace else, but there is always somebody to take their place. I make over $400/hr, i am a true capitalist that can and does thwart gov regulation and there isnt a thing anybody can do.
@hawaiidiver68 in free market capitalism there is no use of force. unions would be allowed. "There is somebody to take their place" in a free country more ppl would be starting their businesses. there would be a lot more other businesses who pay more and ppl can stop working for u so they can work for another person. and there would be contracts and enforced by the gov. of course regulations doesnt hurt every1, it helps some hurt others. u are a fascist not a capitalist. u idiot. continue

@MrSafetymeeting
LOL
Mathenaut 11 months ago
@Mathenaut You obviously don't know what a republican is because they are anti-government programs. They are anti-war. They are anti-tax(for everybody). You sound like one of those TV educated Americans who thinks Palin is a republican. HILARIOUS. I agree about corporations being greedy bastards who take their jobs overseas. Now that they are getting rid of unions, they will bring some work back. They run America(corporate fat cats). The republocrat debate is for toothless drooling morons.
MrSafetymeeting 11 months ago
@MrSafetymeeting
Tell that to your party.
Mathenaut 11 months ago
@Mathenaut You might want to look at what's happening in Wisconsin. The unions are losing their collective bargaining rights and are basically ruined. Tax breaks don't bother me as long as they're for everybody. Nobody deserves corporate welfare. Any real republican would agree. I don't belong to a party, fool. I am a libertarian. The two party system is a JOKE and only retards vote for those puppets. Your implication that I am a republican just because I know what one is makes no sense at all.
MrSafetymeeting 11 months ago
@Mathenaut When did I say I was republican? Your world is so simple isn't it? LOL I actually made fun of republicans in my last comment. You're having reading comprehension problems right? Have your mom read it to you one more time.
MrSafetymeeting 11 months ago
@MrSafetymeeting
I'm not sure why you think that you warrant enough of my attention that I would browse through the rest of your comments and build a thorough profile of you. The best part is that you ignored the bulk of my response, zeroed in on one errant comment, then want to criticize me on reading comprehension.
Irony doesn't describe it well enough.

I m a firm believer in the Union ideals...We the blue collar workers have to unite and demand fair treatment, fair pay, and fair working conditions..I m proud to stand beside my fellow Americans and i pray that one day all of the workers around the world will come together and rise the quality of life for all!...the reason why our jobs are leaving this country is because the rich men have founded a way to work those poor souls for food and to hell with polluting their waters
soleeforu 1 year ago
@AUSM92 I m responding to your post but i really voicing to your readers...maybe i can change one of them to reason....no the housing bubble did not start because Clinton force a bank to loan money to minority borrowers ...that really don't make sense if you think about a man giving up money to people who couldn't prove that they weren't able to repay. The problem came about because the fat wall street guys bundled up mortages into securities thus generating a supply and demand for more loans.
soleeforu 1 year ago
@soleeforu Those same mortaged back securities rised the value of real estate because of the easy money that they produced on the global markets for those instruments. The whole thing fell about when the buyers got spooked and stop buying them after learning that the bankers were loaning money to anyone that asked due to the demand of the securities...and don't forget how the rating houses lied placing a false triple A rating on them to entice more buyers that didn't show up one day...etc.
soleeforu 1 year ago

@Blazeboy1228 you're* and did you listen to his story at the beginning?
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi yes i did. great story, but it still does not mean that it is the governments job to make everyone happy. its the governments job to make laws, provide a defense, ensure justice etc. etc. do not believe a man just because he says some nice things and tells a sad story. it was his goal with that speech to make republicans look evil, when it was socialism from democrats that has caused us to sink this far.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 Uh... "socialism" what effing socialism? You guys on the right use this word way to much, and don't even know what it means lol. There is NO socialism going on here, if you want to see true socialism, go open a book :/
If anything BOTH sides are playing corporatist which is FAR from left wing ideals... and I can't even begin to grasp your concept that "socialism" has "caused us to sink this far" lol. Tax cuts, pointless wars, and lack of regulation, are the causes.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi I will gladly tell you that i know very well what socialism is. and if you opened your eyes you would see it. The health care bill that was recently passed is pure socialism, and socialism is very active in ceartain states such as California and Illinois. those are just a few examples. I think that you may need to read a bit more. And, tax cuts have not gotten us here. in fact, the majority of economists agree that tax cuts are an excellent stimulus. And the wars that we fought and
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@mewimi and continue to fight have not hurt us the way you make it seem. are wars expensive? yes. but can a price on the existance of you country? these wars are far from pointless mewimi. try telling that to U.S. Veteran who got his leg blown off in Afghanastan. Plus, history shows that government regulation on buisness, Wall Strett etc. etc. actually hurts the economy. it brings consumer demand down almost 14 percent. by the way, the government bailing out buisnesses is socialism.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 Clearly I know what true socialism is, these joke systems claiming to be "socialist" are far beyond what true social is. You can use all of your examples, but by definition those examples fail. You are only sighting example, poor implementation and foolishness.
Bailing out businesses isn't socialist, thats just all around government, FYI, Bush went with bailouts, are you going to say he is a socialist? LOL
As usual.... where is the reality here? Corporate healthcare
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi since you know so well what is is i would think you would be able to see it happening around you. Look around you. Everywhere, anyone who has worked hard in their life, made money and owns a lot of property is targeted. Just for working hard and making money! the founder created America in a way that people could suceed in making money and some could become rich. so why are they targeted with ridiculous taxes and then have their money given to the poor. that is socialism. that is
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 You make faulty assumption and pretend I don't have any facts on anything, based on the little information I have given you about my views. You create pseudo facts and use them as an accusation. The fact is, the tax cuts for the rich, will cost us Trillions of dollars. No one should be getting tax cuts period until we fix our issues with the deficit, it's a harsh reality, but we need to dig ourselves out of this whole as a country, not as a party.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi yes, i will continue to support the wealthy because it is their money that they earned and worked for. they are not the ones screwing people over hear, its the Federal goverment and the corrupt international banks that are working with the Federal Reserve! for some reason whenever anything goes wrong with the economy the rich are the first to be blamed. all the did was work hard. if you want to blame someone, Blame the feds and crooks on wall street who cant pay their own debts.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 You will continue to support the wealthy? Who do you think is incharge of those banks? Those oil companies? Those health insurance nazis? The government? and it is a known fact that taxes on the rich, improves the economy, not make it worse. But again, I am for EQUAL percentage based taxes that apply to everyone, however against taxing the poor.
So if you become less wealthy you pay less taxes, and if you become more wealthy you pay more. Fair and simple.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi redistributing the wealth. but clearly you know all about that.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 Redistribution of wealth? You use right wing talking points. Hardly, you clearly know nothing about me,and making more upon more faulty assumptions. Based on what? Nothing, the rich are flying our country into the ground, and you want them to keep their Bush tax cuts? Banks and Corporate interests groups are screwing over our economy and simultaneously screwing up the worlds economy.
Are you going to continue to support to wealthy until we are all destitute, rich and poor?
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi I do not believe that i once claimed to know anything about you that you did not post in our conversation. For your information, Bill Gates the multibillionare founder of microsoft donates vast amounts of his fourtune every year. hes saved millions of lives without the government taking his money. and maybe the banks wouldnt be freaking out if the government wasn't regulating every move they make. its the same thing on Wall Street. The governments job is not in any buisnesses! And
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 You do not claim anything you know about me? Yet you imply things that I havn't even said, and place me into some form of category.
and FYI, regulation is REQUIRED, the moment the joke of a tea party and other de-regulators get a hold of our government, is the moment this country is dead. DEAD, you think Banks should be able to gamble away your money for short term gains? and then get bailed out by the government? If you think they should be able to gamble, then...HA
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi miss, i never implied you said anything and i never placed you in a cattegory. I think that you need to have a little bit more faith in the american consumer. You see, banks have a trend to often end up with reputations. and if the government would back off, the banks that gambled peoples savings would not be used by americans. i guarantee you. we are still a bit smarter than that. the banks would destroy themselves if they did, which they wouldnt. they are very smart men.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 Faith based systems are foolish. That is like saying the banks can scam you, and if you trusted the banks then it is your fault. That is absolutely ludicrous.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi well, when the banks see that they now will have to play by the rules of the american people or they will lose everything maybe they will be a little less likely to scam you, hmm? one slip, and everyone sees. And i would trust the banks before i trusted the federal reserve.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 Um... not everyone is deeply involved in their banks activities. You have any idea how EASY it is to trick someone into believing you are trust worthy? Take proposition 8 for example, the people 52% of people believed in the lies promoted by yes on 8 campaign.
What you want is a no accountability for ones actions greed based system, the american people should be punished for someone scamming them? not the law. That is called legalizing theft.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi lol. not once did i say no accountability. the banks crimes should be handled in the justice department but that all that we need the government doing in the banks. should banks be held accountable for crimes:yes. but why does the government feel the need to become involved in the banks activities? let the men run their buisness. untill they break the law, then the judicial branch gets involved. the executive branch's job is to catch them breaking the law, but i assure you that the
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@mewimi the government does not need men on the banks board of directors to catch crime. absolute minimum involvement is the point i am trying to get across.
Blazeboy1228 1 year ago
@Blazeboy1228 OR Maybe, we should just let corporations trash our environment? That would be another example of government intervention in "businesses"
As for healthcare, healthcare is a joke and just more corporate nonsense. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with socialism, and if you looked at the actual proposed "reform" you'd see, almost NOTHING changed in terms of healthcare. Except now we are mandated to buy overpriced corporate health insurance which is total bull.
mewimi 1 year ago
@mewimi no it wouldnt be. the department of commerce deals with buisness, that would be the department of the interior. two very different things. not buisness. And now you are making accusations about me. lol. i did read the proposed reform. and i saw a lot. a lot of ways for greedy men to pocket money and get benfits. and it screwed all of us. and you are right, the insurance is bull

@sillynanny44 if you voluntarily live in America, then you voluntarily go by the rules. If you don't like the Constitution, then start a movement to abolish it.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 libertarians like me are the ones that actually follow the constitution. constitution limits govt. govt is force. it's not voluntary. it should be used defensively against theft, fraud, or aggression (putting ppl in jail, national defense). it should not run ppl's lives or businesses. it shouldnt invade other countries. idolatry -> statism -> lawless lobbyists using govt to cheat, steal etc (rich stealing from poor, poor stealing from rich etc)
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 and there was a huge argument between the framers of our constitution, some said it was too broad and that it could be subject to individual interpretation and the other side was that if they made it more specific then it would be easily argued that if the rights werent in there, then the people didnt have those rights. The constitution is a fluid document, it is subject to interpretation and change, it has to be in order for it to survive.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 the constitution is simple and it clearly limits government and it should. the idea that people should have more than one interpretation of the constitution is nonsense. logic never changes. morality never changes. ppl should always have their natural rights. continue..
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 morality is constantly changing, look throughout history, and you will see the patternn of change. the same goes with logic. read some of the different philosophers throughout time, and you will see how it changes. and not only that, look as how different people view things differently. what i think is logical, others disagree. i bet people disagree with your logic as well. and natural rights have been debated over the centuries, so what have we decided they are?
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 that's nonsense. i do look at history and what change is the people. their view of morality/logic change but morality and logic doesnt change. when people fail at being moral/logical they suffer the consequences. just because you believe in something doesnt make it true. you're not making sense. natural rights are rights that doesnt go in conflict w/ other ppl's rights like freedom of speech, right to own priv property etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 you and I are both middle of the road kind of people, average, everyday and we cannot come to an agreement, how do you expect those who are way above our pay grade, with higher eductation and much bigger egos to come to agreement? i restate- we the people cannot agree for more than 2 seconds on any given subject, so which one of we the people do you want governing you and those around you who happen to disagree with you?
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 im a principled libertarian. those arrogant ppl have all kinds of shiny badges but they're fools because they think they can run the lives of individuals. they couldnt & they shouldnt do that. the country shouldnt be majority rule & it shouldnt be minority rule. individuals should run their own lives. the answer to your 2nd question is that i dont want ppl running my life & i shouldnt run other ppl's lives & i shouldnt use politicians to run other ppl's lives either.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 and once again, you prove my point. we cannot agree. I respect your postition on the matter, but government is necessary. the more we change, government has to change right along with us. if we get bigger, then government has to keep up. laws have to change to keep up with the eveer increasing needs of the people as well. we want to believe that people will do the right thing, but the reality is we won't. especially if we cannot agree on what the right thing is. hence government
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 lol you dont have a clue to what you're saying. first of all i already told u there should be a govt. i already told you that we libertarians believe in limited govt to put ppl in jail for theft, fraud and aggression. "the more we change" i already addressed your nonsense. morality/logic doesnt change and we shouldnt degenerate, govt should always be used defensively. laws can give what ppl need/want? lol? wrong. private sector can give what ppl need/want. continue...
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 continue... big govt hurts the economy/country. it takes away the things ppl need/want. "the right thing". big govt is force. it is basic morals that we shouldnt commit acts of aggression. humans are bad so you want to be an intellectual sloth and commit idolatry w/ govt/politicians/humans? u want to give them the power to commit acts of aggression? govt should put criminals in jail for theft, aggression & fraud to destroy the incentives for crime. it shouldnt commit crimes itself
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 "if we get bigger then gov has to keep up" gov should always be limited & small. it should always only do the job of defending ppl. only w/ limited gov can we get bigger (economic growth, etc). when country becomes more healthy & wealthy the govt should still be limited. if gov is big we wont get bigger, the country would get destroyed. ha cant you see? we have14 digit debt, 15 digit unfunded liabilities, 22% unemployment/underemployment, inflation, wars, bureacracies, welfare etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 so, what part of our massive government would you recommend we get rid of?
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 first of all i know that many ppl are dependent on big govt but they're dependent because govt eliminated fm characteristics. they want govt to solve the problem that it creates. that's a fallacy. the ideal is to just have fed govt for national defense and states to put ppl in jail for crimes.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 once again, what exactly would part of our government would you get rid of? to say federal gov should only provide for our defense is unrealistic. when local and state government refuses to meet the needs of the people they should have recourse in the federal government.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 i told you what part i would get rid of. govt should only put ppl in jail for theft, aggression and fraud. it shouldnt do anything else. only fed govt is good at national defense and that should be it's only job. "when local/state gov refues to meet the needs of the ppl they should have recourse in the fed gov" only local/state govt is effective at putting criminals in jail.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 i really could have sworn there was more to the constitution than just national defense. i am trying hard not to be sarcastic, just trying to understand how you can say that you are all for the constitution but chose to ignore everything the constitution stands for, ensures and protects. it makes no sense to me, that is why i asked for specifics. and your answer is to get rid of all of it except national defense??
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 first of all you're being myopic i was talking about the ideal libertarian society. our constitution is very close to the ideal. nonlibertarian stuff in the constitution are few. of course to get to the ideal we'd have to amend post office etc. if we follow the constitution we'd have a very small govt, but it would not constitute 100% libertarian. i want fed gov for national defense. state/local gov to put criminals in jail. continue..
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 continue... so i do follow the constitution. if we follow the constitution gov would be small. if we follow the constitution and amend to get rid of the few nonlibertarian powers of govt then the country would be 100% free.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 to amend to get rid of post office etc.*
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 and that is the reason i don't buy into libertarian ideology.

@hawaiidiver68 it's not logical to reject freedom(libertarian ideology). you're not a libertarian because you're foolish and immoral. there are lots of people like you.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 libertarians do not hold the market on freedom. and the fact that we can disagree is what makes this country great. i am sorry that you have to resort to character bashing just because we do disagree. but it still proves my point that 'we the people' cannot agree for more than 2 seconds, so it is damned near impossible to please any of 'we the people' it is clear that libertarian ideology falls very short on what our gov actually and the responsibilities ofour gov.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 libertarian do believe in free market. just because u say we dont doesnt make it true. fm = no aggression, no theft no fraud. that's called libertarianism. the fact that we can disagree is a characteristic of libertarianism, i can believe in freedom u can believe in statism. but if u act on the belief of statism & grow gov u'd be taking away my freedom. every1 should believe in freedom so they can run their lives the way they want. continue...

@sillynanny44 freedom is a subjective ideology. and once again, libertarians do not hold the market on freedom. what freedoms have you been denied from our government?
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 freedom is when there is no aggression, no theft & no fraud. that's freedom. just because fools dont accept that definition & believe in another definition doesnt make them right. libertarians do believe in free market. just because u say we dont doesnt make it true. u fail to back your claims w/ substance. govt forces us to accept a currency that they can & does inflate. govt steals from us. govt runs ppl's businesses. gov ban guns. govt infronge on our right of priv property etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 you very own platform states that the government has the responsibility to protect your rights. the constitution forces you to accept a national currency, after all, how would you like to have to change out currency every time you visited another state? how would you like the wealthy in your community make a run on your bank, and not have federal backing, therefore not have money in your account? continue...
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 arrogant idiot. u dont have a clue to what u r saying. in order to protect our rights gov would have to act defensively. it should put ppl in jail for theft, fraud and aggression. govt should not commit those crimes itself. constitution says sound money "No State shall ... coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts;" if a bank doesnt have my money that's fraud/theft. govt should put those bankers in jail.

hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 continue... it is the government that prints money govt creates the inflation. fractional reserve banking would be outlawed because it constitute fraud/theft. our govt is criminal our fed institutionalized frb. govt should act defensively so it should put fr bankers in jail. there is different between rule of law & regulation. rule of law = putting ppl in jail for crimes. regulation is govt commiting crime to try to prevent other ppl from commiting crime.

hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 ... u fool.... didnt i say criminals would be put in jail? in libertarian country once the aggression is done they're put in jail. the ppl should be abled to own guns. sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 and i did not say you don't believe in free market, i said you dont hold the market on freedom. what I should have said is that your belief in freedom is not the only one out there. you say government is force, well, duh, people have to be threatened by force to do the right thing, or they have to be forced into jail. we have freedoms, but freedom has to have boundaries.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 libertarians are onlly ones who believe in true freedom. govt is force it should be used defensively. once it uses force aggressively it would doing the wrong thing itself. look im just repeating myself. i already refuted your nonsense before u even wrote those comments.

@sillynanny44 i may be a fool, and i may be arrogant, and i may be myopic, but i do not fear my government and i do not feel that it has in any way stepped on my rights, liberties or freedoms as an American citizen-I believe in my country, as I have defended it against all enemies. you truly believe in your own brand of freedom, which steps on my freedoms. my dad once said that we are free to live within the boundaries or we are free to suffer the consequences. somebody has to set the boundaries
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 hahahaha u dont make any sense. that's not healthy. i already gave u the reasons why u should fear the consequences of your actions. fear the consequence of big gov or else this country wont act prudently. HA. i already gave u examples of how u lost your rights, liberties & freedoms. u havent defend this country u are destroying it. im not stepping on ur freedom. u r taking way mine. constitution limits govt. libertarianism = freedom
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 i shouldn't have used the term 'i dont feel' I should have said, my rights have not been taken away. i own/op my own business, the gov doesnt tell me what i can produce or what service i provide. i own my own guns, they aren't banned, i own my own property, without interference from the gov. the laws that tell me i cant discriminate don't apply to me because I don't discriminate, and the min wage laws dont either as i pay above state and fed requirements.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 of course some places in the u.s have more freedom than others. im saying that when u see other ppl losing their freedom soon ull lose more of your freedom. being apathetic or supportive of big govt makes you guilty. in the u.s govt burden the creation of business w/ bureacracies and other nonsense. govt does try to run businesses.

@sillynanny44 does common sense support sweat shops? does common sense support child labor? does common sense support monopolies? does common sense support genocide? does common sense support dumping toxins into our land, water and air? or are those regulations against such acts ok? how is it right to have to depend on the income of a 7 yr old to support a family? know what i am talking about? you seem to think that we lived in some type of free utopia before the decent of "big gov".
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 u dumb idiot. 8 questions. 1 it is in the employers interest to make the work easier for better production. 2 it is not in the employer's interest to use kids if the work is dangerous or hard. it is capitalism that can get rid of child labor by increasing wealth. 3 capitalism = competition. govt = monopoly lobbyists = monopoly 4 genocide? that's caused by govt u dumb idiot 5 private property = no pollution w/o permission. 6 regulation caused those problems continue..
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 continue.. 7 it is govt that inflates the currency that lowers income it is govt that steals capital from the employer that lowers income it is govt that burden businesses w/ nonsense gov managment that lowers income. u depraved moron. it is capitalism that has sound money, low taxes no income tax. capitalism is the ONLY anti war system. capitalism has better income & lower cost u dont decide what income is good, the market does. capitalism has unions, businesses who dont use force
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 you have a very revised version of history. free market does what it is supposed to do, make money. they do it any way they can. is it in the employers best interest, what a crock, especially when there are thousands to take the place of a disgruntled worker who wont make waves, just work. you go on and on about local/state being the best way to prosecute criminals, yet it is the local and state that tries its damnedest to step on indiviuals rights cont
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 revised version of history? i refuted your nonsense. i dont have a revised version of history u do. in order to make money they have to serve the consumer. free market = consumer rule. in a fm ppl can start businesses themselves & unions would be allowed & employers would want to get hard working employees who put good effort in working so they pay better. it's easier to shrink big local/state govts than big fed gov. all big govts are bad.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 continue... and of course local/state govts are better at putting criminals in jail.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 i dont have a distorted version of history, u do.*
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 in fm there would also be many employers to choose from. there would be contracts to protect both the employer and the employee
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 you rant about the gun ban, which was a state legislation and the SC, part of the fed gov said it was unconstitutional, but you insist the state is a much better governer of rights. talk about myopic. gov burden, have you ever had to file for wokmans comp? ever been injurred on the job? how woul you like it if your company didn't have some sort of compensation and didn't have to pay for it, and you couldnt work that job anymore, where would you get the money to retrain for
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 5-4 decision. if the fed govt takes away rights it affects every1. inflation tax, spending, redistribution, etc. i already addressed that nonsense. it is easier to shrink big local state govts than big fed govt. all statist govts are bad. u emotional idiot. employees would make contracts w/ the employer, both parties have to agree and hc has high cost because of inflation, bureacracies, mandated hmo, elimination of competition, etc in a fm there would be more jobs cont
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 another job? you are a fool if you think that business is all for your best interest. they can and do fight the system to keep as much of their money as possible, how much easier would it be for them to keep it if they didn't have a system to fight against? and unions are a civillian form of gov and have been known throught our history of becoming corrupt as well. i have never known of a strike that has not cost a worker more than they have gained.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 and easier to start businesses yourself. businesses work in their interest so do the employees, the contract = the agreement. in a fm unions would exist but they wouldnt get to use force of govt. when u have big govt u help the lobbyist/businesses cheat. union lobbyists are also lawless and harmful to the economy too. unions are not gov in fm they dont use force in fm.
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 u can also look for another employer in free market
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 business doesnt have to use 'force' unless you consider holding your ability to provide for your family hostage force. and if they werent forced to do the right thing, they wouldnt, to think otherwise would be living in a different dimension. it was regulation that stopped sweat shops and child labor, not the the ultruistic intentions of business. after all it is in the best intrest of business to use the cheapest labor possible.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 lol u r being emotional and dishonest. i already told u, in a fm u can start a business yourself, employer would have to make contract w/ employee, unions would be allowed in fm. if u force them to do things not only is the act of aggression wrong but your arbitrary nonsense would go in conflict w/ the market which is also wrong. it was capitalism that made it possible to create safer better enviroment workplace. capitalism = wealth to eliminate child labor continue...
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 capitalism is where employers wouldnt hire weak kids to do difficult/dangerous work because that doesnt get them money. it is statism/regulation that makes countries poor so they're reduced to slavery, hard work, mass murder, poor starving kids who does all kinds of hard work. it is in the business interest to make money so they have to get competent employers. the employers would also have to agree w/ the contract. the businesses also serves the consumerm, lower cost innovate etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 and they also donate lots of money to the poor etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 statism/regulation also caused the bad working enviroment, dirty public property, etc
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 so i am wrong about child labor in the US? WE HAD IT, it was the goverment that put a stop to it, not the free market. are you really that closed minded? I get around gov regulations all the time. I hire private contractors and I DO NOT provide them with anything. I don't pay their taxes, I don't provide any kind of insurance, not even workmans comp, I send them a 1099 at the end of the year, they're responsible for everything but getting the job.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 it is the fact that we had some free market characteristics which got us more wealth that got rid of child labor u idiot. we are suppose to be talking about whether if every single individual has their freedom. you are just one individual. regulations? i already told u we should have rule of law not regulation u idiot. regulations burden businesses & business creation, it eliminates competition. in fm there wouldnt be income tax inflation tax continue...
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 continue... insurance? i already told u it is govt mandated hmo, govt elimination of competition, govt bureacracies, govt inflation that caused the problem of costly healthcare. insurance should be for big problems like heart attacks, cancer. govt created the incentive for the use of insurance which cause high prices. in fm w/ contracts employers and employees would have to listen to each other about what they want
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 if they get overtime, then I get overtime, it is a really cool system that thwarts the so called gov controll over my life. you talk and talk about signing a contract witht he worker, but it is the employer that holds all the cards in negotiating the terms of that contract, and if i have 500 people applying for one position, I hold the power. I believe in free market, and I know how to avoid gov regulations that protect the worker.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 lol u r nasty and viscious i already addressed your nonsense. overtime? overtime pay? if they worked then they should get the money. the contract would protect them. both side would get what they deserve. hold all the cards? i already refuted that nonsense. unions would be allowed. ppl dont have to work for u. ppl can start businesses themselves. there would be contracts. there should be no regulations. there should be rule of law. u are distorting libertarianism
sillynanny44 1 year ago
@sillynanny44 no i am not distorting libertarianism, i am extorting capitalism. i dont have employees, i have private contractors, therefore, no union required. they dont have to work for me, it is their choice to sign my contract. they have the option to not have work, or go someplace else, but there is always somebody to take their place. I make over $400/hr, i am a true capitalist that can and does thwart gov regulation and there isnt a thing anybody can do.
hawaiidiver68 1 year ago
@hawaiidiver68 in free market capitalism there is no use of force. unions would be allowed. "There is somebody to take their place" in a free country more ppl would be starting their businesses. there would be a lot more other businesses who pay more and ppl can stop working for u so they can work for another person. and there would be contracts and enforced by the gov. of course regulations doesnt hurt every1, it helps some hurt others. u are a fascist not a capitalist. u idiot. continue
