Kryistian Zimerman is really as good as it gets for lyrical interpretation and technical mastery, There are a couple in his league, but I consider him among the top, consistently excellent, striving for perfection, and landing only the slightest distance apart in the perfect space of being human

US customs officials destroyed his piano when he arrived there to play at Carnagie Hall on suspicion that the glue smelled like explosives!

This humilliation deserved a written apology from the president! At least! George Bush? hahaha, a yahoo by all means! Who on earth would himilliate in this way one of the fines pianists on earth?

Absolutely astonishing, convincing even in its extremes of contrast,(classical Handelian strength to Romantic musing...). The young Zimerman was an outstanding Brahmsian; here he has the greatest possible partnership. A thrilling account.

Everything Zimmerman says is clear .U know what he means.Rubinst,Kempff Arrau none of them get me like his clear but insightful phrases&periods do.Remarkable.Hoped Schnabel had something to say.Never made it on to the discs if ya ask me.
