  • Wouldnt part with mine either...;-))...superb

  • At the Roadhouse??? I ride my bike there on weekends and throw a few back. My daughter gave me a "new & pristine" copy of this 45 back in 1987 after she learned I had been trying to fine it for a few years. Always liked Herman's vocals. Wasn't his backup band called "the Spectors" ? I remember it as "Herman Grimes & The Spectors"...

  • Dude! The first time I ever heard of this guy was tonight, when I was poring over some KXOK charts and saw that an earlier song by him was a pick in March '66 -- "You Can't Take Back Kisses" . I come here to check out Larry Knight's "Hurt Me" and here's Herman. To my tin ears, it's a good song, but the style's a little dated for '66. 2 or 3 years before it might have made it. Not surprised it's been discovered by the Popcorn Oldies guys.

  • @jfrank94608 You Can't Take Back Kisses was the actual A side of this 45.... I think this side should've been the plug, it would've been a huge local hit for sure.
