That bass sounds like Geddy Lee's J bass and Sean Andrews' (of Redemption) Ibanez SR506. My god, the results are breathtaking. Not so much in this particular video, but the FPE-TV Murderface video you can hear it.
@edthehead83 Beller's Jazz & "T-Bass" (the "Thunderbird"-style used in Dethklok) are top-o'-the-line, 3K+ customs from Mike Lull Custom Basses, and while I knew they could work for me "on paper" (string spacing, pickups/electronics, woods used...) it wasn't until BB let me play his Red Jazz (he's a close friend :-) after a gig that I KNEW these were the Jazz Bass for my playing style, and now I have a 4 & 5 with at least 4 other customs in the future. He's a killer player & even better friend!
@edtheh Also check out BB's live video playing thru "The Gears", the only track on both Dethklok CDs that Brendon DIDN'T play on (he gave Beller the choice of songs to record in the studio & he chose it) that is an absolutely AMAZING example of both is technique for playing metal as well as his fantastically distorted "Metal Tone". A T-4/5 is yet another Lull on my "Dream Bass" list, after I pick up my dream fretted, fretless & 5-string Black & Blocked "Geddy Lull". Just need 20K or so...
One of the greatest bass players of all time.

murderface can't be the reason unless you identify with people with serious issues because dethklok pretty much dials all the bass out of there songs

Murderface is playing Jazz/Fusion... is *that* what "Planet Piss" is going to turn out to be? ;-)
...and yes, I read about the session. Nice to see that Brendon's using a *real* bassist for this one.
