There are soo many "hidden" references in Gumby episodes. The letters on the blocks always represent something or someone. They might be acroynms, initials, names, etc. Those blocks were never placed in random order. Considering how long & painstaking the process is, they had lots of time to place block letters in certain sequences that might have referred to those who worked on the program; perhaps a memorial to a friend or family member; a nod to a spiritual leader...etc. Fun to watch!

well there normally is a plotm each episode ive seen has had some sort of problem and solution, but this episode is weird! ive never seen one like this before! its like the animators just got bored and threw random stuff together!

Art Clokey had mentioned that Gumby was about 'entertaining the eye', so a few of the episodes were merely there to do this and showcase creation. At least that's what I think.
