  • so, im hearing a sample from the AMS? Not the memorymoog you are playing?

  • @sleestack808 From 1-39 to 2-00 your hearing the AMS sample of the MM..

  • @AMSRMX16 cool, so it can play a sample and act as a delay box? or is it one or the other? In other words , Can it delay the sample?

  • @sleestack808 You can delay the sample if you feed it into the other channel that is set up for delay. You must have a DMX that is set up for Dual Lock In like the one here... Function wise you can chop the front or back of the sample, pitch and modulate it, or on the later ones reverse it. This one has reverse.

  • @AMSRMX16 first, thank you for the help! One last question, do you know of other delay boxes that can sample this way? Like the old eventide 3k perhaps? I like the idea of making pads and strings with these kinds of boxes as I hate embedded menu synths from the 80's

  • @sleestack808 The Eventide H3000 had to be fitted with the sampling option but I think the later ones can do it like the H3500 and on..I have an H7600 which is just amazing.

  • Very informative! Will the chorus controller connect to an Oberheim OB-X?

  • @4everColReb Thanks. Yes it will, any synth with CV/Gate.

  • This machine has been used on tons of records in the 80's.
