Thanks for the comments, the foam is nit sticky. The foam I used on this pattern was Rainy's 1mm Cross link foam. For smaller patterns I use Wapsi razor foam,.

Hi, great looking hopper, I really enjoyed watching this video and it gave me some great ideas for future patterns, the segmented body looks realistic the 1mm foam used, was it sticky only it seemed to stick as you wound it up, nice demonstration and thanks for sharing. Regards Alan from the UK

The fly in the video is tied on a size 10 hook, I fish them 10 thru 14.
