Hey mate, was just wondering if i could make a rotoscope of your video for uni work? To do that i'd need the file, so i'd be much appreciative if you could get back to me. Thanks :)
@citytransportinfo No point arguing with you - an anorak I suppose. Clearly you are all for the tube and it's dirty, antiquainted conditions of poor air flow etc. Prices are over the top too. The tube SUCKS
@sweetypie000 I've been using the underground for over 40 years - since I was 11. If you watch my films of Bank station in the 1990's and in 2010 you'll see that things have improved. Although especially the Northern Line the trains are actually slower than they were back then.
Much money has actually been spent on air flow issues, aimed at stopping station passageways experiencing the 'howling gale' effect caused by moving trains. However the law of unintended consequences (see nxt msg)
(part2) means that platforms get hotter & stuffier than they used to.
Also please bear in mind that the powers behind the scenes dont care about ordinary people living in less than ideal conditions, as long as they live in comfort. We are just cannon fodder for them, human cattle - allowed to travel in heat which is illegal for bovine cattle. All they care about is that the City & stock market makes its £millions. For them.
Perhaps this will change after the comet (Elenin) passes. Soon..
@citytransportinfo PART 2 ! god damn you talk more than I do ! bloody anorak !
listen guy, the london underground has had little to no improvement in the last 30 years. I equate it to the blackwall tunnel - victorian engineering that has endured the test of time and has saved TFLa shedload of cash. the Victorians had their sh1t together but the new governing bodys don't have a scooby doo.
plus, they have built new olympic villages so please don't say things are better on the tube - they aint !
I had a ride on this last year too.. 29th June to be precis the 70th anniversary of the introduction of '38 stock to the Northern line... and yes there is a video of it on here too.

a few station just got heritage status which is handy for TFL because they can use it as an excuse to continue doing fuck all to improve them.
The tube is a sham, fekking disgrace
source: me, 10 times a week user for 25 years and no other option

@sweetypie000 I disagree that this station is a disgrace; compared with what the underground was like years ago this station is great.
If you are wanting a shiny glass and steel station then I'm sorry, this is not going to happen here - nor in most of London.

They are far more modern than Chicago transit cars from that era. We didn't have an underground line then. Great video.
