  • Interesting. Thank you for sharing

  • many 223 to choose.

  • Glad you got the NATEC in there. When I saw the name of the vid I was SURE I had a round you didn't but you do! Cool stuff that NATEC was. I picked up like 25 boxes for $4 a piece a few years ago at a gunshop. They said no one was buying it and thats why it was priced so low. If it wasn't for the neck separations I bet they would have gotten a HUGE govt contract.

  • gud i could use some of dem :P

  • .223's look alot bigger on yt than in real life

  • I would like to buy one of those puzzles!

  • Winchester Ballistic Silvertip <3

  • no matter the size, all of them will make you shit your pants when fired at you!

  • get shot with that .50 cal its game over

  • so if i have a stag arms model 6 wich is in 5.56 i can shoot 223 do i have to buy a mag for 223 or can the 223 adapt to 5.56 magazines????

  • @jigglejack100 mags are the exact same your good to go.

  • this will sound really stupid, but why is it that a .22 is so much smaller than a .223 ?

  • @Neverfearericshere The bullets themselves are not that much different in size, it is the complete cartridges that causes the size difference. In other words--similar sized bullet, different amounts of powder--the .223 having much more and therefore being faster/more powerful.

  • do you have a 6,8 grendel?

  • i have a shit load of 5.56x45 stripper clips

  • i want to hold that 50cal.

  • Referring to your collection of polymer rounds, i own and have shot the tracer rounds. Sketchy.... sometimes the neck breaks off and jams itself in the feed ramp. The whole concept behind those was the idea that a person or soldier could carry atleast twice the ammo due to their super lightweight characteristic's.

  • the .223, .22-250, .22 lr, .220 swift are the same bullet calibers just different grains and different cases

  • what's the standard one used in the US army for M16?

  • big motherfucking gun!!!!!! could not resist sorry....=)

  • im new to fire arms, could you tell me what bmg means? thanks!

  • Browning Machine Gun

  • .223 should have been patterned after 30-06 like the .50 BMG was.

  • What they shoud have did was went with the 7x43 cartridge like they should have.

  • No, 6.5 Grendel is by far the BEST small arms round in the world, supersonic up to 1200yds, that makes the average soldier hold much capapibilties in 1 gun. That would be like bringing back the old 1903 to Marines in WW1 and previous. their fire begins to kill at 700yds, we get hit before we hear the round go off some French soldiers would write.

  • The 7x43 was similar to the grendel ballisticly. The 6.5 grendel would be an excellent cartridge to adopt. 300m shots are most common, where 700 yard shots are bit rarer. Why would the French soldiers be writing about getting hit by the Springfield 1903's? We were on the same side in WW1.

  • thinking about a different war oops.

  • I'm looking to add to my ammo collection. Got any to sell?

  • nope

  • Is the AK-74 round similar the the 223.

  • @ODoubleJ You can buy individual rounds from ammo-one.com. That's how I built up my collection.

  • is a 223 and 5.56x45mm NATO the same thing and is it a rimfire or centerfire

  • almost the same, but not the same and both are centerfire

  • would a 223 be able to shoot a 5.56x45mm NATO

  • Shooting .223 Remington in a 5.56x45 mm chambered gun is OK

Shooting 5.56x45 mm in a .223 Remington chamber gun could be bad

  • @GunWebsites lol look at the vid of the gun blowing up in the guys face who did switched ammo without barrels LMFAO

  • @GunWebsites I am correct in saying the 5.56 is a much hotter round than most of the .223 loads. That is why they can't be interchanged.

  • @vector6977 When reloading for a semi -auto .they recomend using small base dies to set the shoulder back and size the base a thou or two smaller for easier chambering. That is one of the diferences between 5.56 and .223 . I have heard that the 5.56 is loaded to a higher chamber preasure.

  • @GunWebsites Good job. Finally someone who understands that .223 rem and 5.56 NATO are not the same. People argue with me all the time about this. They usually stop arguing when they have to get a rod to get a 5.56 NATO shell out of their .223 rem sporter. The same holds true for .308 Win and 7.62 NATO. NOT THE SAME. If they were, they wouldn't have different SAAMI specs.

  • @iamauen

Exactly! 5.56 will shoot .223 with SLIGHT drop in accuracy. Shoot 5.56 in a .223 chamber you could be looking at some damage to your rifle.

  • @GunWebsites whats your take on shooting over 55grain bullets out of a 1in9" twist S&W M&P15A ??? I get mixed answers from some people and dont want to risk damaging my rifle. I have only shoty about 1000= rnds of 55gr but have yet to use the small box of Silver bear 62gr i have laying around.

  • @Dgaf82 I'm no expert and not 100% sure but I have never heard of larger grain bullets within a given caliber doing any damage to a firearm chambered for that round--the rifling simply won't stabilize the larger bullets, making them inaccurate. I have always hear that 1in9" is good up to 69 grain, 1in8" pretty much everything besides tracers, and 1in7" will shoot pretty much any 5.56, however the 1in7" can over-stabilize the smaller grain bullets as well, leading to accuracy issues.

  • @wcropp1 Don't quote me on this though, as I'm not 100%. I'd double check if you're going to be shooting a lot of it, but if it's wildly inaccurate I don't know why you'd be doing that anyway. If it's the round your gun is chambered for, and the rifling will stabilize it--I highly doubt it will damage your gun.

  • @wcropp1: I've heard of some damage happening in Garands that have >150gr bullets fired from them due to these generally being hotter loads than the M2 ball ammo they were designed for, thus bending the op rod. Other than that, I've never heard of any damage either.

  • @samuraiBSD Right--this can happen when using old guns and new ammunition, due to changes in ammo specs over the years--I was referring to recently manufactured guns. This is more of an age issue than a size issue though, right? The size of the projectile hasn't changed has it? Just the amount of pressure created by the new, hotter loads? Or does modern .30-06 use a larger projectile?

  • @wcropp1: It's just the pressure created by the new loads. Innovations in the quality of powder, strength of charge, etc.

  • No, they are not the same. The 5.56 is slightly longer than the .223 and is usually loaded to higher pressures than the .223 rounds. You can shoot .223 in a rifle chambered for 5.56mm but it is not safe to fire the 5.56mm in a .223 chambered rifle.

  • you can fire both our of an Ar stamped for 5.56. but if it's stamped .223 on the receiver DO Not shoot 5.56. It could explode in the chamber

  • the .223 and 5.56 is the same ammo like the .308 and 7.62x51. you can shoot the .223 in a 5.56 gun, but not the 5.56 in a .223 gun. bouth are senterfire

  • those plastic rounds look like pencils.

  • I can get you one of those plastic cased .50 BMG's If you want one

  • that blue tip .223 might be simunition witch is a hard paintball bullet witch can be seen in jarhead when the guy gets shot in the face

  • frontier = hornady and all 22 calibers today are 224 diameter except for the 22 hornet which is 223 and the 22 hi power which 227 the 225 win is 224 along with the 220 swift and 222 rem is the parent for the 223 rem

  • 223 or 556 is 224 diameter

  • Nice collection.

  • thanks, it's fun to seek out new stuff for it

  • nice collection dude :D keep it up btw the blue "training round" im pretty sure its a bland thought (same thing but still) btw do you play xbox or something haha :P ?

  • no we don't play any video games

  • Cool

  • i was believe the .50 AE is effective to be one hit kill, but i check that it has only around 1600j, and the i found the 5.56 nato has around 1700j, it is greater or what?

are there any other figuration should be concidered? plz reply.

  • im no bullet expert but 1600j for the AE witch is a bit bigger bullet got more energy that a 556 with 1700j the impact power it greater with the AE :P

  • @QQ20034 The .50AE is a much larger bullet than the 5.56. Bigger bullet at almost the same speed=more powerful.

  • One fact I didn't hear you mention is that a .223 round is the same size as a 5.56 nato (military) round but the latter is designed to travel faster, is more accurate and has a thicker casing to handle the extra power. Remmingont 223s can be fired out of all 223 rifles but only specific rifles can fire the 5.56 round.

  • you are correct, thanks for the info

  • put your ammo next to a fire and lets see what happens

  • No, you do that with yours and point a camera at it

  • yes

  • A bullet collection? Okay...

  • what do you collect?

  • Debt.

  • LOL

  • nice music in the back ground man great song lol

  • LOL, that wasn't intentional, it was just the radio on in the other room I think

  • dude u got a fuckin .50 cal DUDE WHERE DO U GET ALL THIS AMMO MAN

  • I just look down a lot when I'm at ranges, I also trade or get rounds donated when I'm out shooting, I have bought a few too
