  • anyone know if someone released the source files to this video?

  • Fuckya bama

  • Fuck you Obama, fuck you

  • @ShodowySpartan Indeed. this nazi needs to be impeached

  • Hmmm, the first rocket reminds me of the new SLS, is it the same rocket or a different one?

  • aohn xxii

  • Even though you blame obama you should look at the alternatives.

Ron Paul wants to decrease taxes, thus NASA wont even have any money at all. And the other alternatives, like John Mc.Kain, well, I would rather live in a society that functions then one that can send things to other planets.

And stop being so sad. Its about science, not nations. Russia, China and Japan can still do things.

  • @gulbirk If you want to vote for McCain you're really stupid. Ron Paul is the only hope for America. The space programs will be privatized in the future anyway. So don't worry about NASA not getting enough funds.

  • @hardstyle905 Meh, i don't think Ron Paul is gonna be differnet.

  • @MrThech With all due respect sir, Ron Paul IS different. A constitutionalist, which he has proven year after year, Paul is a true heir to the Founding Fathers (figuratively). Most in the GOP are corrupt, racist, greedy swine that forgot about what their ancestors created.

  • @MrThech Getting rid of the Dept. of Homeland Security (which is unconstitutional), ending the war on drugs (which is unconstitutional), ending the FED (which is unconstitutional) and going back to silver backed currency, dividing the military's budget by three (which would NOT threaten the nation's security)... would free up so much money (at least $330++ billion) that:

    * NASA, education, and science budgets could be tripled,

    * Jobs could be created, poverty drastically reduced,

    ->pt.2

  • @MrThech

    * America would have a stable currency again (and so would everyone that uses the Dollar in trade)

    * America could start paying back its DEBT !

    All without creating more debt...

Freedom is possible. But we have to fight for it.

  • Is it a game or movie If it is a game what is the name???????

  • @Crazydork252 Haha This is a simulation of what would have happened it the Constellation Program (America's ex space program) was executed. Those were NASA's rocket designs at one time... Now they never will be, thanks to Obama.

  • @Jontheking100

This was an actual manned return to the moon space project? And cancelled by Obama? How far where they realizing this project?

  • @Jll3001 Yes it was cancelled by obama. Now hes saying to bring men to asteroids and mars. what the fuck is that good for?

  • @zgrillo2004 Well, i'm not against bringing people to mars, but in my opinion, we should get back to the moon first.

  • @Jll3001 Agreed

  • @zgrillo2004 And without a developed Heavy rocket.

  • @Jontheking100 Obama is a fucking socialist. thats why he terminated the program so he can concentrate spending on getting jobs and fixing the economy which is not working. hes the worst president that I have ever had in my entire life and I cant wait til he gets off the office

  • @Jontheking100 maybe the next President will bring the mission back...hope the damage is not done...we lost a lot of your best engineers cause of that

  • 1:16

Whoever made this video forgot to put a cover on the fuel tank, you can see the earth through it.

  • @ghostalin Haha good spot

  • @ghostalin thats a reflection on shiny mettle

  • @bates507 Oh wow, good catch.

  • Well i got one question.

Dont get mad at me but....

Why bother going to the moon if we already did?

  • @TheRobloxian23 Haha that's a great question. Well the main reason for Constellation is to put man on Mars, and going to the moon is great practice using the Orion and Ares rockets. Because once you are launched to Mars, there is no turning back, so we need to make sure we do everything perfectly. Also, the moon is great for research. They're developing new technologies in energy saving (like solar farms) part of the moon is lit up all the time, that's a ton of solar power!

  • @TheRobloxian23 You speak like bama

  • @TheRobloxian23 There are lots of reasons in my opinion. But I think the most compelling is just that it is human nature to explore new environments. Creating a permanent residence on the moon allows for us to to get mars more easily, and allows us to really start becoming masters of our solar system, much the same way we became masters of the planet.

  • Saturn V and the Apollo LM looked way more awesome than this.

  • @dziltener This can lift more, it's more advanced in technology, and since it uses solid rocket boosters it has far more thrust and carrying capacity than the Saturn rocket. It is by far a better rocket.

  • @Jontheking100

Yea but we're talking about looks. Not the actual systems and payload.

  • 1:35 United States, bitches.

  • So... Are we going back to the Moon sometime around 2020, and if so is this the rocket that will be used?

  • @KaTzaNdSTuFf

Well I'm sorry to say, but by the looks of it, it doesn't seem like we are going to the moon anytime soon... We used to plan on this Constellation Program, but it has bees scrapped.. I have no idea what we're going to use if we do.

  • @Jontheking100 Scrapped? Just yesterday on the NASA channel I saw a video breakdown/preview of the Orion rocket about three times.

  • @KaTzaNdSTuFf

The Constellation Program is scrapped... That means no moon, they still might consider building the Orion (Ares) Rocket to get to LEO. Trust me, Constellation is no more.

  • @Jontheking100 I did find out one thing though. The Orion Crew Exploration Vehicle will still be used. Just on a cheaper rocket.

  • @KaTzaNdSTuFf Well at least not all the billions of dollars got put to waste.

  • @Jontheking100 Amen to that. I say they should've just finished the dang thing.

  • Thank God this program was killed. This was only designed to keep the money rolling in to NASA contractors and nothing to do with progress. Falcon XX with Falcon9 is a much better choice.

  • Soundtrack is awesome. But they should have gotten the rights to Van Halen's "Dreams." THAT'S how you get the public interested in space travel again. 80s power bands.

  • What would be the cargo capacity... as compared to the shuttle.

  • @SteveWard3928 The space shuttle is designed to carry up to 65,000 pounds...Whereas the ares V rocket can carry around 400,000 pounds to LEO.

  • @SteveWard3928 Falcon9 heavy can lift 117,000 lbs to LEO at 1/16th the cost of shuttle. Just like ISS was constructed in small pieces vs one large lift like Skylab, its much more practical to go to the moon the same way. An Ares V launch after development could cost 4.5 Billion p/launch where Falcon9 heavy is about 100 million p/launch.

  • obama killed that dream :(

  • @Bo83xxx I know :(...But maybe a cooler president will strive to improve America's space program, and technology around our Nation and the world, Lets hope he doesn't get re-elected.

  • @Jontheking100 do you think there comes some cool contender for this officeholder?

  • @Jontheking100 And also hope that an idiot doesn't get elected in his stead. We need someone new, Idealistic, no one like the current morons, there are a few good ones, but, none like the ones in the past....no one like the founding fathers.

  • @Bo83xxx That bastard, I know. I hope we get a real president. A man who will understand the importance. And bold enough to let the brightest take charge.

But lets not get into politics :) Lets hope this project will get back to its feet and give those NASA engineers, and future ones a good future to look forward to.

  • I love science :D

  • Canceled :(

  • @caseygtr not really cancelled, but the moon idea and the Altair lunar lander are cancelled. Orion will probably do some missions to NEO (Near Earth Objects) around 2025 and will go to Mars around 2030 ;)

  • @NLonDS, so the Orion is still in the works, I sure hope so. :D

  • @NLonDS No it's really cancelled. a suckier version of orion will be made, and the ares I and ares V are scrapped.

  • @NLonDS I hate the idea of converting the Orion with a USSR rocket. But hey! There is some form of good news! They are actually reconsidering the Ares rockets. They never took into consideration that the military is going to be using the Ares rockets. (That doesn't include the Constellation Program) They said 40% of the rocket will be used for science and NASA, the other 60% will be used for the military and national defense. I guess there is a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel.

  • @caseygtr It's not quite dead, Obama modified it currently it's still going to happen but he still may find a loop hole...

  • Nice!

  • Really nice! 5 Stars

  • very good=)

  • sexy

  • indeed that gives me a rager.
