  • What kind of shower curtan do you use?

  • How much do you weigh? I want to know to see if a less mph leaf blower would be effective.

  • How much does it cost? I'm sorry, my English is not very good.

  • @maxt2000vc seem okay to me

  • Awesome

  • Could you use a tarp for this?

  • Can you make the skirtel bigger on the bottom but still have the air pocket holes on the bottom still the same width apart

  • hi um i made one and it worked but y you said that one board would not work it works fine so cut lose

  • i want to make one but i cant find the blue prints

  • 3 (or more) Shopvac motors are good to get the air pocket beneath the craft.

  • What if you split the air coming out of the leafblower one for lift and one for propolsion you could just get some cheap hosing or pipe and split the air coming out

  • What leaf blower did you use? And do you know how much this project costs in its current state? (excluding your braking system)

  • @GrabberBlue10

roughly 200$ - we used a ryobi 200mph blower (home depot)

  • My dad is a lawn care pro so we have extremely powerful blowers and a lot of weedwackers

  • I'm really interested in doing this but how did they make it move in the video

  • ummm... for a weedwacker motor, you could use an old metal table fan and cage, use the cable or shaft drive to keep it semi-remote, but then again, why not just use another leaf blower? it's already set up to deliver a focused blast of air :-D

  • simply superb

For navigation purpose attaching a small wheel at the tail part might work in more effective way

  • @raviranjannandan like the idea, but we'd like to keep contact with the ground at a minimum...

  • I love you, Torben Ruddock. You have stolen my heart.

  • a little tip, tape over where you staple to help keep the curtain from ripping through the staples.

  • Does this version work on water? like a commercially available version would be?

  • How about a little r/c gas-engine ducted fan?

  • @postalbyke0 this is our favorite option so far - any suggestions for the motor? we were thing weedwacker...

  • Torben's version of "half an inch" appears to equate to a real world inch ;^)

  • Great video thanks! Kipkay you have some competition.

  • Wow. Now, propulsion. Fire extinguishers would make a great quick fix, but compressed air can't be that hard to come by, right?

  • @Axquirix compressed air is extremly expensive when youre using it for something like this. the canister would be heavy and may affect the balance of the craft

  • Jet packs? whoa. Serious safety bumper needed then. :>)

  • Ingeniously simple and effective! I like it. :)

  • Amazing, now teach us to make a jet pack
