I feel bad for the kind of life she lives. Paparazzi always surrounding her wherever she goes, magazines make a big deal about everything bad in her life so that's all people focus on, always being flown different places, living out of suitcases and hotel rooms, probably not a lot of down time. Yeah its true that all performers have good and bad performances, but to say that REAL fans of anyone love all their performances is pretty silly. If you support a sports team you dont mindlessly praise every performance. You have a right to be critical, and its important that you uphold that right in all circumstances. otherwise brain-dead drone-ness awaits you.

I don't think she's actually singing here. Most real artists HATE miming or lip syncing to a track instead of playing. Sometimes, gigs (especially on tv) have you play to a recording for various reasons. The artist is obligated to perform so they usually perform crazy. Muse is one of the best live bands of the 21st century but check out their miming videos on youtube. I don't know for sure, but it might just be the case here.

I remember, when this had just hapened, hearing all this crap about how ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE this performance was. But now that I actually work up the nerve to watch it, I am surprised to see that, while it's not GREAT or even very good, it was much better than I expected. She could have been more into the dancing, and wore a better outfit, and at least tried to not make it seem like she was lip - syncing. But there was one one part that I was plesently surprised at her dancing (2:07 - 2:13)

wasn't her best, but it takes courage to be up there. i think it was a product of her not being ready but feeling the pressure to get out there. i've pushed myself in shit i wasn't ready for, thinking it would be good to do something different or challenge myself and more often than not, i was going against my own intuition and it ended badly. lol. it happened in a room full of people and i wanted to curl up and die. whatever. brit wasn't godawful. and im glad she seems happy now.
