Necromorphs are alien life forms I have Dead space and beat it,but I don't know about how the outbreak started because I don't have dead space 2 yet.

@milpton9 In dead space 1, Isaac discovered that a Marker, an alien technology that transforms DNA, had be found and taken aboard the ishimura(I can't remember how to spell it) which caused the necromorph outbreak in 1. In 2 Isaac was in a coma and the doctors on the sprawl created a HUGE marker with the symbols in Isaac's head. Its not 100% clear HOW the outbreak started but it had something to do with the giant marker. Hope I helped a TINY bit haha

@milpton9 a planet was cracked open, the marker was found, they thought it would make people immortal. people started going crazy then transformed and thats wat caused dead space 1. ds2, a marker was built using symbols encoded in isaacs brain, then the same shit that happened in ds1 happened, people went fuckin crazy and transformed. that was probly the simplest way to explain it. there aliens.
