  • I love the Sweet, but his voice is lacking and the Lyrics are kinda disrespectful.

  • awesome

  • Sweet F.A. - Rhythm of action is it a song from sweet or is it a song from a total other band???

  • Anyone else notice the first line in this song is exactly the same as the first line from Motley Crue's Girls Girls Girls? lol

  • I love this alternative version - thx for putting the Private Collection tracks up - thats one album that always intrigued me.

  • Very great video for a brilliant song! You do a good job, I like it very much! Thanks for sharing!! The Sweet are the best forever!!!!

  • @jimbowie09 yepp they were as sweet as sugar ;)

  • oh yeah I love it !

  • @kittiesgomow33 Sorry, that was my retarted brother who said that.. But seriously, he's our Uncle.

  • @MrMcDrPerson soo... andy scott is ur uncle? i seriously doubt that..

so whats ur dads/moms name? ^.-

  • @jimbowie09 You have that right! They were practically my 1975 when I started driving and had them cranked in my 8-track (seriously).

  • desolation boulevars

  • @pahat58

great album and a rockin song!!!!!

  • HA HA ...You can really hear all the mistakes they are making ....it's so funny to listen to when you have the album ...and whats up with jammin part ?.....

You can bet that Sweet would never have released that (good) shit ha ha ha .

    I really enjoyed that.

Thanx Taxirock ....are you a studio tech from before ?

  • HEAVY AS FUCK !!!

  • @TheElronda

Dude, they were better than QUEEN. Yeah, I said it.

  • Desolation BLVD is a masterpiece, always was. I had the 8 track tape as a 9 year old living in Orange County, then the LP, and 24 years later on my CD / iPod. One of my top 100 picks for sure ... Yes, I am old, that is why I know what the real deal is ....

  • where did you get this version?

  • great vocals drummers great ground breaking duel guitars bass player and others right with it! sweet!!!!!!

  • is he don't spread...gonna bust her head!

  • Im only 15 and I LOVE sweet! great great song from a spectacular band! :)

  • what the hell are they wearing?gotta love these guys.they really lived it

  • DUDE.....! I have the original single on 7" vinyl.......and this aint it..... your foolin' nobody.

  • sorry, I click in the wrong bottom "i don't like", but i love this song !!!

    This is music sirs !!!!!

  • My Uncle was in this Band!

  • @therealhuntr09 Who was your uncle?

  • @summeerrxo He is either "Jim Thorp" or "Jim Thorpe" I never really got a chance to get a good sit-down with the guy. Can't really remember much. I'm just thrilled to be related and that close to him!

  • judging by the vocals, this isn't the standard version that I love

is this some kind of demo? doesn't sound like live

  • A band between bubblegum and the butchers fillet.

  • what a song for the time, real heavy

  • Wow, how cool, interesting how songs change through the production and mixing process. I wish early studio mixes were released more often. For music geeks like me.

  • I can never forget in 8th grade back in 1976 our french teacher, the gorgeous Mr. Zanolin, letting his french class of 13-14 year olds, listen to this track in the classroom. Well, I'll tell you, *that* was a good education! And I've been a rabid fan ever since then! Long live The Sweet and I hope Brian and Mick are jammin' in the great ether...

  • love is like oxygen

  • Awesome. Obviously done live. I'd rather listen to dud notes, than miming anyday!

  • @Andybaby It's a rough demo. Used to have a CD of Sweet demos and it was on there.

  • prog band?

  • YEAH, the Sweet, KINGS OF GLAM!!!

  • What was this version released on?

  • Comment removed

  • It's not the same version. I'm VERY familiar with the Desolation Boulevard cut. It's a totally different recording.

  • There is a picture from the CD Cover at 1:09 - 1:11

  • @taxirock

    Thank you!

  • @gainsbarre13 It was released on "Desolation Boulevard". It is a great CD/Album. Released on 1974 on the RCA label. You can generally order from your fav. music outlet. I have a local record store that can get me just about anything. This one was no problem for them.

  • @gainsbarre13 I had a CD back in the 90's called Blockbuster Alternate and Rare Versions. It was on there. Unfortunately someone walked away with it. It's not on any of my Sweet CDS as a bonus cut, but I'd already got most of Sweet's discs on the Repertoire label when they came out with some new editions on the Sony/BMG label, which have far more bonus cuts. As for the CD 1st mentioned, it's all demos for the most part. Maybe you can find a used one? Keep on rockin'!

  • @gainsbarre13 It appeared on Desolation Boulavarde...

  • Nice 'on the beat' editing here,

not done with Windows Widow Maker .

    I gather ?

  • You´re right, i used a professional Videosoftware

  • Wow they pulled a total Deep Purple in the last minute here. Real different from the D. Blvd. version.

  • There are traces of Highway Star keyboards throughout. Nice, huh!?!"?!!!!!!?

  • Yeah Mick Tucker was unreal!

  • Great vid for a great song of a great band!

  • He sings a bit like Johnny Liden of Sex Pistols. Must be where Johnny got it from

  • I agree...and he would have would have denied it and spit and said The Sweet were fucking Heavy metal fags who sold out.

I hated Mr. Rotten as much as I liked his stupid ass and all the Pistols albums I stole from people.

  • They had such a dodgy image which was a shame... but they were such a great Glam Rock band. Individually great musicians. Good to see them... takes me back.... I remember when this was allllll fields... ha ha

  • What dodgy image. I thought their image was fucken awesome ... Mind you out of all my friends and cousins in my age group I was the pure rock one, where as they preferred the poppy tunes, lol

  • Oh I just mean dodgy from the teeny bop sort of angle... you know, 'Wig wam bam' and 'Peppermint Twist' and stuff like that. But they were a great rock band too.

  • Ayup lad one day all this will be yours LOL

  • really great stuff man

  • i heard there is an earlier version on 45

it was banned or record company pulled it

    Sweet f#*$ all

    may be this is it

  • Unexpected key change at 4:42!

    Nice "live" recording/demo.

  • Just about the best hardcore lyrics of any rock song in history.

Sweet were some mean band after they shook off Chinny Chap's suffocatingly naff sway.

  • Where i can download this version??

    Great Song

  • Wow,,,,very different from the album version, this must be a demo. Much more Deep Purple-ish with the organ. Very cool....thanks for posting this.

  • One of their best songs! Desolation Blvd...their BEST album! I don't remember much of my teenage years, but I do remember playing the 8-track over and over and over....

  • yea I remember doin' that too. I though the b sides were so much better.

  • Where is this version from?

    Is there any more?

  • Thanks for this ditty. Always been a favorite band of mine. Often overlooked, never duplicated...

  • What kind of guitar is Andy Scott playing in this video?

  • this version is awesome brian has a raw powerful sound here 5 thumbs up

  • Live in the studio...This shows just how great they were....Anymore from the same sessions ?

  • Sweet F.A. is the tune that turned me into a metalhead at 10 years old (1975) and I've never looked back!

  • The best band EVER!!!!!!

  • Sweet F.A. is from the Sweet Fanny Adams album, but Sweet F.A. also appears on the American version of Desolation Boulevard album of which the track listing is a mixture of tracks from both Sweet Fanny Adams album and the British version of Desolation Boulevard.

    Alfred

  • I am not loving the organ poured all over the song!! Sweet were always guitar driven with occasional synth by Andy...too much on here

  • this song is really hard to download.. I haven't found it anywhere..

  • Sweet <3

  • Have this version on the archive series c.d ,but its no match for the original b. side.

  • I like the version on Desolation Boulevard more.

  • This is recorded live dude of course the album versions better

  • Possibly one of the best B-sides on a single ever released. Sweet seemed to rely mainly on their very memorable singles for success. The only album that reached the British album chart was Sweet F.A. during the group's '70's heyday.

  • thanx for that rough and mean tune.

Brian sounds a bit like he´s down the drain,ha,ha

imagine its ´78 and you see the sweet live....

  • i have most of there original 7 inch singles from the 70s.

you'll find that most of them have a really great heavy tune on the b side.

they should have pursued this avenue a bit more.

  • make it seven irish fanatic rock on lets start down loading and them back in charts

  • Remember AC/DC and Fox on the run? lol!

  • I think there's like 6 of us left in the world that remember this album. Fuckin' rocks!

    Even Metallica can't touch this

  • make it seven !

  • Make it eight. Sweet we're Great!!!

  • This is the rehearsal of the track "Sweet F.A." for the Level Headed Tour of 1978. Sweet F.A. is an album track of Sweet's 1974 album "Sweet Fanny Adams. Also it's the B-Side to the single "Action"(1975). Alfred (fountain on HSH).

  • hey awesome video.

  • Nice Mari,and great job Taxirock! :)

  • Especially only for you!!

    Thought ya came back!!
