Thanks for sharing this very historic video in tribute to the few. Have been to Duxford may time. A must for all lovers of history & Battle of Britain stuff. Love hearing and seeing the Spitfire in flight. A salute for sharing this....You used a tripod...great. They need to make a wind muff on those small camcorders ..in that UK weather! Great stuff!
@TCUNC76 Hi, thanks for watching and for your very kind comments. I use a monopod, as its much less trouble in a crowd than a tripod. Im working on my own wind muffler as it happens... made from fake fur. Thanks again!
If you made this on Sat, I might have been standing behind you since i had the exact same vantage point. If you noticed a 40 something with tears rolling that was me. I made it from Chile to witness this and had never in my life been so excited. Definitely the highest point of my first UK visit. Kudos for the beautiful video.
@SILVAJOSEFRANCISCO Thanks very much for watching, and you kind comments. Yes, this is indeed footage from the Saturday show. Im glad you got here to see the show... and the British weather didnt let us down!
Hi Highlands, Beautiful video. If you made this on Saturday I might have been standing right behind you. I had the same exact vantage point. Great.I was working in the FOD enclosure so could get to see this bit.Thanks.Look at my video shot from there. No so clear as yours as only usingmy N95 BUT WORTH A LOOK
great bit of videoing.nice and sunny for a change.Although the price is a bit steep at airshows, its not as much as the price the original pilots payed
@DAVROSYGIT Thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, it was slightly quieter this year... I put that down to the Grand Prix, and some footbal game or other, but yes, the recession will certainly have an effect. £32 a head this year, I dont think Ive ever paid that much for an air show, thats £10 more than Waddington 2010 on the gate.
Nice video, thanks. The wife and myself were there on Saturday and had a great day. What does worry me is the cost of entry that Duxford has now. I'm lucky and don't have to worry, but for say a couple on a modest income, £100 for a day out is getting a bit steep. Sixty odd quid to get in, travel costs, food and refreshments etc. and it soon adds up. It was noticeable that the number of traders was down this year as well. I hope that IWM doesn't kill the "golden goose".
@collierman57 Thanks for watching. Yes, I have to agree, I find Duxford a bit on the steep side. You could argue its the best collection of its type in the country and that you get what you pay for, but IMO £16.50 just for normal admission is a bit much. I heard the number of traders was down due to the fact that the price for a pitch has gone up, dunno how true that is. At least Hendon and Cosford are free!
My wife, brother in law and i are looking at coming over from Australia for 2011. Are you able to e-mail back any information and feed back that can assist us in our plans. Coming specifically for the legends as we were told this is the best show for WW2 aircraft. Having never been to the UK any information and suggestions much appreciated.
@austerfive Thanks. At the beginning they said they would keep the commentary down to the essentials only, and to be fair, there was less waffle than on previous years (I think they mustve taken note of the comments over on the Key Publishing forums). But they soon turned true to form and waffled over everything. By the time the balbo was over, the Frenchman wasnt even making sense anymore.
Awesome video, I was there, it was truly unbelievable to see, I would have paid anything to see that, brilliant brilliant day! :-)

Nice video, I was actually able to make it on the sunday this year, bus from London wasn't too expensive compared to the flights from New Zealand!
