he was jaundiced because your idoit doctor agreed to indice before term. If you had waited for him to be born when he was supposed to be then he would be able to breastfeed and wouldn't deal with jaundiced. idiot.
@3Chappells actually i had severe blood pressure, which led to two strokes during my pregnancy. pre eclampsia is only cured by delivering the baby...it can cause the baby more harm within a pre-eclamptic mother (less oxygen to the fetus) than being in another week or two. and guess what....he was on breast milk the first three months of his life...breast milk is breast milk, whether they get it pumped into a bottle or from the breast...idiot.

jaundice has to do with the babies liver, and not whether or not they are breastfed. breast milk is slightly more helpful to reduce bilirubin levels,,,which is why i did just that. thanks for being ignorant. without you, i wouldnt be considered educated.

Congratulations!!! My daughter was lethargic really bad from the jaundice a few days after we got home, we had to give her a bottle once or twice, so I can relate. I think her levels got up to 17. He's so handsome! Those particular style of Medela bottles ALWAYS leaked for me. So i stuck to the 2.7 oz Medela bottles. haha we did socks on her hands too for the same reason.
Yay you had him, he is soo cute. Like Lora said beloe don't feel bad about breastfeeding at all. It's great that you're pumping atleast. You guys are doing a great job. I pushed for 45 minutes as well but I had to take breaks in between contractions. I can just imagine you laying there screaming your head off. You tore just like I did except I only tore in 2 places. How is the healing process going?
