@tomstickland It's BS, there is no better air induction system than a stock one, this one will actually cause you to lose low end power and you will only gain about 1hp up top. It has been proven, not really worth $150. a 30 dollar kit from ebay will give you the same thing for a lot less money.

Z3 rack is any Z3 rack except the Z3M, because that got some variable ratio thing.
The standard E30 coupling fits onto it.
You need to file out a hole on the subframe slightly and use a pile of washers to fill a gap. Plus saw off some of the plastic trim. And reshape the pipes. It's all quite obvious once you start the job.
Z3 shifter is loads shorter than the original. Maybe by a factor of 2.

Was a Bilstein B12 kit, the springs and dampers came as part of the kit.

my e36 318is has the m42 engine and it is 1800cc....later models are 1900cc......
