funny how back in the day, if you like this sort of stuff, you probably never saw the videos if  the song didn't make the "charts". now we get to see the videos for the first time. this was always one of my faves...aaah, the subtlety and simplicity that is an EBTG song.

Idlewild was released in 1987. I've always liked this delicious song also when the critics wrote it was a silly and dangerous thing! Don't ever change I call you Jimmy they call you James...an hymn to infancy for lonely teenagers...Boy you've come home..

I love it - the melody, the lyrics, the video (simple,pure, almost unscripted with Tracey's eyes shying away from the camera, looking up most of the time). I just love EVERYTHING from Everything but the Girl!
