How the HELL! do you make glow around text?

@WWEDivasProductionz You can add a glow to a text by pressing the ATTACH PARTICLES TO ACTIVE LAYER... button and selecting the GOLDEN GLOW preset.

Colour, size, texture and other properties of the glow can be adjusted by editing the attached particle layer.

@OuterspaceSoftware I do that, but I was a glow around the text to be outlining the text. I don't know how to do that. If you could please tell me, I would be greatful, but if you don'y know what I mean, here is the link to the effect I am talking about.

@WWEDivasProductionz Maybe this is what you are looking for: press the ATTACH BORDER TO ACTIVE LAYER button and choose the RED OUTLINE preset.

Select the attached layer to adjust its properties (for example turning red into another colour)

@Imani1967 The effect at :09 is static text using the DIN font. Choose the menu item MEDIA > CHANGE FONT... to change the font.

You can create lightbeams by setting the BEAM LENGTH property of the light layer to a positive value. Take a look at the show light effects\LightBeam1.bt that comes with the installer (choose FILE > OPEN SHOW...)

Avid fan & very happy BluffTitler Pro user here. Made many dazzling additions to my videos via this wonderful software, but I'm still learning.

Would you be so kind as to explain which "show" or "effect" was used in your video from 0:36-0:46 & specifically, how were you able to use the street scene as reflection mapping on the text? Is it a seperate layer?

Also, I love the 3D panaramic from 6:36-6:41. Is there a tutorial on achieving this?

Both effects use cubemapping: press the CHANGE EFFECT... button and select the CubeMapDDS.fx effect file.

Take a look at the demo show "light effects \ LightBeam1 . bt" to find out how to create lightbeams.

You can open a demo show by choosing the menu item FILE / OPEN SHOW....

Press the CHANGE EFFECT... button and select the file ReflectionMap.fx to create the chrome effect.

i'm a total novice, im not as thick as i make out lol i've been messing about with it and this stuff is jaw dropping, i've now attempted a title, when ive saved it its come out around 288mb! that cant be right can it?? even compressing it hasnt made a difference

The purpose of compression is to make the file smaller. You can export your show as a compressed video file by choosing the menu item FILE > EXPORT AS MOVIE... and selecting COMPRESSED AVI.

I suggest you post your questions in the BluffTitler gallery/forum. This way other users can learn from your questions as well.
