  • wat is that game

  • @kooljazz4 Team Fortress 2.

    On the PC.

  • What is this dust? It kinda looked like Halo but it kinda didn't... o_O

  • @deprece2301 Team Fortress 2, prece.

  • @Zeuki

    Never played that game surprisingly...

  • @deprece2301 fuck you precer

also it's for the pc and xbox but the xbox version is glitchy and has never been updated

  • You should make commentaries brah

  • @Snapsnap111 boooo. make frag movies.

  • @Snapsnap111 You can't really commentate this game because there's nothing to talk about. If anything, I would just annotate interesting parts of the video.

  • Hanks got his MLG 720p swagger on now.

I'll subscribe, you just gotta put out videos a lil more frequently, bro.

  • @777prescot777 Too bad it isn't 1080p.

  • @DustyScythe what exactly are you recording with?

  • @777prescot777 I'm using the Source Recorder in the game.

As you don't actually own it I'll spare you the details.

  • @DustyScythe I actually own Orange Box on xbox, and Portal&TF2 on Steam. I was just wondering if you were using something like Fraps which has better quality recording.

  • @777prescot777 >implying fraps is better than source recorder

With fraps your framerate suffers from having to record it while playing

But with source recorder you can set the framerate (to 30 which is the fps youtube plays at) and not suffer any lag or poor framerate

What you do is go into console, type "record [name of demo here]"

Then type "stop" once you're done

After that, you exit the server and type into console, "playdemo [name of demo here]"

  • @DustyScythe Once you do that, then type "startmovie [name of movie]" at the part you want to record

Then type "stopmovie" when you're finished recording

After that, go into Steam/Steamapps/username/Team Fortress 2/tf and you should find a bunch of images that look like "[moviename]0000.tga" and so on

Go open VirtualDub, click Open Video File under File... and select the first one, which should start as 0000

The movie will be compiled and stuff

  • @DustyScythe fraps can set framerates and all that. what would make the biggest difference would be the graphics/settings. if youre playing a game with lesser graphics or lower settings itd make sense to record using the source. but if you wanted to record say Crysis 2 with maxed settings youd want a different program than just a source recorder (Crysis 2 probably doesnt have one though lulz, just an examplee).

  • @777prescot777 Source Recorder means the recorder built into the Source Engine, which TF2 runs on

It doesn't mean "source" recorder as in from the source.

TF2 is a special case where there is an ingame recorder.

It doesn't matter what framerate you set it to, Youtube plays at 30 fps and below. Not above.

  • @DustyScythe okay, sorry. thank you.

have you looked into the RPG Vindictis? it looks cool.

  • @777prescot777 >made by nexon

    >unstable servers

You can try it... But games by Nexon basically mean that if you have real life money to spend you are automatically better than other people

  • @DustyScythe it still looked interesting because its a MMORPG made on the Source engine.

  • @777prescot777 Source engine is usable by any games or whatever, it's not confined to Valve.

  • @DustyScythe yeh, but its not every day you see a MMORPG using it, right?

  • @777prescot777 Yeah. But it doesn't have source recorder. Only Valve games do IIRC

  • @DustyScythe are we still talking about recording? lol you already won that battle, bud.

    you pumped for Portal2?

  • @777prescot777 Sure. Pretty interested though Portal was pretty hard for me and I hear Spencer never finished the first level or something o hurr

  • @DustyScythe yeh, he beat like 4 levels lol. their channel has some pretty interesting videos on what their adding to the game, it looks harder than the first..
