turn the nine upside down. ive talked to big wave pros and all of them say this is completely false. its about 60 feet. garett is great but this isnt 90 feet
Ok. How many vids do we have form the previous record in Cortez? Parsons i guess? Just one? From that perspective? How can you not question th veracity of the 77 feet? Did you question it? Do you think Billabong XXL is trying to favour that "great superpower" country Portugal? Sorry but is all about location. Im not saying that Nazaré has the biggest waves. It rivals with Cortez and Jaws at a top level. Bigger than Naturgas/Spain - lets laught together about that ahahahah.
@kdolo100 yes you are right. its a 98ft wave :) Confirmed. You never surfed right? In the videos the waves always look smaller, and even smaller depending on the angle of the camera. A 1,5m wave you would think it was a 5m wave
@NXvidz Speak 4 yourself buddy,it's clear that it's not 90ft.There are many vids on here from the same distance with waves of the same size. Cortez bank put out bigger waves than this.I may have mispelled that.It might be Cortes.
@kdolo100 The fact is u dont like it that the world record is in Portugal... By the way this wave seems clearly bigger than the the wave of the previous world record. And you just cant say that Cortez Bank put out bigger waves. U can say, but that does not make it happen. From the vids that i watched i didnt saw that, or else the record would be in Cortez... Maybe 1 day. Nazaré is 1 of the world giant wave spots. Eat it. And yes, i think they add measure to ALL waves...
And now get ready to see something realy impressive! Garrett Mcnamara caught the largest wave ever in Nazaré. The surfer caught the giant wave with nearly 30 meters (90 ft) in Praia do Norte. Mcnamara was in Nazare in the "North Canion Show 2011" and these are the footage. These was not the first time the surfer came to Portugal. The beach Praia do Norte is under a particular fenomenon called "canhão da Nazaré" that allows bigger waves than usual.

This was a great event. I was already on that beach and, if you think you can surf those waves, U = R.I.P.
So take your board and your fucking mouth here in 2012 just to check if you do better, or you are just crab meat...
Those "camones"("GRINGOS" in mexican) like to talk to much so fuck you all, this is a world record and dont minimize it, jealeous asses.

@innstinctx The location has nothing to do with it. It's a big ass wave, not 90ft.period. Even JAWS put out rival waves.

@kdolo100 The location has everything to do with it , there's an underwater formation called the cannon ! 3 miles deep canyon !

First = Primero. Let's see what Mike Visser the Australian guy does later.....he's into riding HURRICANE waves dropped from a helicopter.
