Good word Joshua , this should be so foundational to a christian's life that you would think that preachers would be preaching it as a matter of course but you never hear it ... how often do you hear your brethren making reference to "being convicted" and it is always in relation to their sin .. yet John says " concerning righteousness because I go to the Father and YOU (the believer)no longer behold me" Jesus is no longer dwelling in our midst to live that standard of righteousness before us

'"man your messing up here here here here here here here"?? is from the accuser?? well the way to know for sure is to go to the word, and take each one of those "here's" and line them up to scripture, because truly if your guilty of any one of those "here's" then your in violation of God's word and you need to sincerely repent.

@OLDTIMER1969 Like I said, the Holy Spirit convicts you of righteousness and so you will learn when you have done things wrong. He is there to point you in the right direction, not to always tell you how wrong you are. The devil loves to use God's law against us to wear us down from failure, always realize that. Jesus picks us up! Imagine someone always telling you how wrong you are in everything. Well God says in Hebrews 10:17, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE."
