98 went down big time!! 61% of the voters realized that is was nothing but a sham, promoted by vile, sleazy, disgusting landlords and mobile home park owners. Sam Zell is perhaps the most hated man in California. Prop 199 lost in 1998, Prop 90 lost in 2006, Prop 98 just lost. And the voters of California WILL ALWAYS PROTECT RENT CONTROL!

Thankfully the people of California saw through the Howard Jarvis scam and were handed their ass when 98 was defeated by a 61% majority. Jon Coupal, Thomas Coates and Sam Zell tried to buy an election and lost not only on 98, but any future clout or credibility. NOTHING they touch will ever pass again.

PROP 98 WILL be defeated. People are finally understanding what it will do to the elderly.
98 is a sham, supported by landlords and mobile home park owners.
The truth has always prevailed in California. Prop. 199 was defeated 8 years ago. Prop. 90 was defeated last year. And Prop 98 will be defeated, just barely, but luckily Prop 99 with triumph.

Either way rent control will end. If you vote for Prop 98, those currently living under rent control will continue to be able to do so.
If prop 98 fails, politicians and greedy developers will take the properties that aren't giving them enough tax money... like rent controlled apartments... they will demolish them, and build yet another strip mall or newer apartments that aren't under rent control.
At least with 98, you can continue the communism of rent control for a little while longer.

Prop 99 is supported by corrupt politicians and wealthy developers who want to steal homes, rentals, businesses, and farms from hard-working real American people who have built their families and communities for decades. Stealing rental properties is no different than stealing a farm or a home or a business and landlords aren't the enemy and aren't bad people for wanting to be able to pay their mortgage and property taxes, and perhaps *gasp* make a profit!!! THE HORROR!

Rent control is wrong...PERIOD! It is theft. Who the hell are you to force someone to take less for their property than it is worth in a fair and open market?
Prop 98 is the only real protection against eminent domain and the lying supporters of Prop 99 claim it's about Rent control. Guess what? All of the people already renting under rent control would be able to continue to do so. Only a fool, a thief, or a wealthy developer would vote against Prop 98.

This man is the #1 reason why Prop 98 MUST BE DEFEATED IN CALIFORNIA.
