This may no longer be a functioning design. I tried it on SMP and built it to the letter, the door will open quite nicely, but when trying to close it again one of the pistons gets stuck (if your facing from the front, the piston which is supposed to bring the top right brick gets stuck with the pistons which retract them into the walls). Tried several repeater delay settings as well with no change.
@irdamage I haven't actually done any testing with it on SMP so I can't let you know for sure on that one. The design was originally intended to work with the piston retraction glitch and once that was fixed, the design worked better before (for some strange reason) getting worse. I'll have to mess with it a little and see what I can do. Cheers for the feedback.
@themightymaxxion Thanks a lot! I've watched a bunch of other videos where the door didn't have the stairs and thought it would be good to at least give it a go. Yea I had to make a sacrifice with them coming out of the floor but covered properly, it looks real nice =D Thanks for the comment
good tutorial, i understand it totally. If you guys don't get it then first get some redstone knowledge. if you don't get it cuz the skipped parts...well the first one... how can you not get that. the second one... again, get some redstone knowledge...
@desox2009 Cheers =D Admittedly, I shouldn't have cut the last part because of all the confusion but I assumed that people watching this would have enough Redstone knowledge to be able to hook up an input. Lesson learned.
@MyTube330 Ok I can't tell... Are you trying to troll me now? You cover up the Redstone input. Try searching some other vids on basic Redstone input. I'm sure you'll get it working.
@MyTube330 You mean how to hook up the input? Have a look at 5:55. Basically all you have to do, is attach some Redstone to the bottom of the torch and take it out to wherever you want your input to be. Make sure to do it on both sides so the power can get all the way around.
@MyTube330 Really? I only cut out the parts that were unnecessary like showing you how to mirror the frame. It's pretty straight forward. Which parts don't you understand?
@ItsnowYang That depends on the whether you want buttons or levers hooked up to door. If you want buttons, just hook up a T-Flip Flip with 2 inputs to the power line, if levers, hook up an XOR gate to the power line. Sorry if that's unclear, I can make a small tut if it helps?
@MinecraftBasics I have been toying with the idea of doing an LP. But before that happens, I need to know that more people will be interested so if I get enough requests, then sure! =]
@MrGraungaard Sorry about that, my mic is so old that it has to be quite close to my mouth to pick me up. I'm investing in a new one so we won't have that problem again =D

I clicked on this, thinking "okay, just another piston door." And then I saw the stairs, so I watched the rest. Bravo.

@themightymaxxion And after watching this, since I have issues rushing through doors, I built a little timer into this. :)
