The donkey probably never experienced weightlessness before. I am sure he enjoyed the weight off his shoulders. Donkeys are essential for the survival of many cultures, from Asia to South America to the Middle East. There will be good and bad owners, but I don't see any cruelty here, except maybe they could have two donkeys to cart the produce. Perhaps they cannot afford it. People in rich countries, haven't got a clue, I guess. Many pretend to be concerned to cover their prejudice.
