as we all know, liza replaced dean martin who started the tour but had to quit because his heart just wasn't in it....this was originally billed as the Rat Pack Reunion....sammy was just fabulous here....frank, with all my respect to one truly incomparable artist, was already starting to lose it....
What a trio! Truly great ones who worked at their craft. Unlike the no-talent hacks of today, like Taylor Swift., the great ones had legit star-power and depth to them. Taylor and her ilk are bad karaoke rejects compared to Liza! Miss ya Frank, Sammy, and Liza!
OK, I will, just to see if my thoughts on the matter can be changed. Gonna be a tough challenge you know. I should not have been that rude about FS I know. Its just he was not my fav. M
Mark--you can't be serious. Maybe you are basing this on this video, which is from 1988, when Sinatra was in his 70s. If you have never listened to them, get "Songs for Swingin' Lovers" and "Only the Lonely." These albums are timeless and show how great Sinatra was.
Sammy was the most talented of the rat pack. He had the best voice, and was the funniest of them all. But they all had something. Frank had the x-factor. Frank Sinatra is way up there with Elvis Presley and the Beatles, so he must have had something. He was a good singer when he was young. Liza is nothing to me. Whitney Houston, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin are great female singers, even her mother Judy Garland was a better singer.
I brought this vhs for my grandmom years ago and we would watch it over and over and over. Now I ask her can I borrow it so I can watch it. She said my cousin has it and won't give it up.
Liza is also Judy Garland. Judy was part of the Rat Pack

before I get strung up by Frankie fans,
Sammy had a voice, I mean, a full musical instrument in his voice, just listen to any CD. There is no other
Liza, a proper diva, power like no other female voice. Strong and emotional -name me one voice like her's
and Frankie - Was a low tone singer, no power, he was nothing. He was more of a fluke. Yes I like, but Dean M was better. Jez he was nothing special.
Anyway. This is my opinion(s) so don't be getting all mad and upset and stuff.

Seriously, what's wrong with Frank and Gene Kelly? Frank seemed like he got some grudge over Gene.
Even in 1978 when he was roasted by Gene Kelly, Frank looked mad or something.
hawkssens 3 years ago
I was talking about 0:53 where Frank said "I taught Gene Kelly everything the bum knows".
[The roasting thing was Dean Martin's Roasts Frank Sinatra]

Frank and Gene were very close friends, it's a joke, is all.
