  • Good luck with humans scaring the birds away. How are the local fish populations doing? How about the acid level in the water?

  • Please remember that a cormorant like the crow and starling have feather pigments that scatters UV light in ways that create colours we cannot see but other cormorants can perceive. So to each other cormorant and those persons with the gift of imagination they are a diadem of colours!

  • Cormorants are absolutely hideous creatures. Horrible to look at, ghastly to listen to.

  • I used to think they weren't much to look at, and then I got to see one close up... they have beautiful blue eyes that look like aquamarines and their eye lids are striped. Their throat is a beautiful orange (and orange is probably my least favorite color) and their wing feathers are iridescent. I managed to get a beautiful picture of this bird. Was I ever surprised.

    (I gotta wonder what you are like to look at and listen to.....???)
