Hi pete i am an aussie living in sydney.I just purchased the magic drainpipe off ebay..The dishonest bugger forgot to mention that the af/mf switch was missing. He gave me a small discount but i still need to find a swich.Would there be anyway, you would be able to help me out..Thanks mate
Hi, Would you recommend this lens over the 70-200 f4 L cause i'm thinking of buying it used for 400$ but the age of the lens is keeping me away from doing it. Please reply as soon as possible.
@Marre1995 they are both great lenses. the f4L has better AF speed with its ultrasonic motor. the f4 is lighter. both are very very nice! im not sure if one is actually sharper than the other. I would just go with which ever you can get cheaper.
@doksik I went with the 80-200mm f2.8 L and i love it! Perfect for sport shooting and a perfect all around lens in my opinion thanks for the reply. :)
@doksik Thanks for the reply, and i have another question. Does it focus reasonably quick with the 5d mk ii in low light situations - fast enough for indoor track?
what`s the price of Canon 80-200?

Thinking about purchasing this lens... is the autofocus speed reasonably quick? comparable to its nikon AF-D counterpart?

@aznskater95 I used to use the Nikkor 80-200 2.8 at work quite a bit. I would say the auto focus is just as quick. Very quick and quiet.
