I didn't know you or your work before I saw this video, but it gave me a good impression. It made me think: wow, this is a guy who is passionate about his profession, who knows what he is doing, who knows how to keep balance in his life...
I really respected what I saw of Zack Arias before seeing this workshop. This workshop made me a real fan. I love that he just come right out and says what he thinks, as opposed to glossing it over with an agenda to up-sell or push the latest gadget.
I really liked the way he quoted last line "photography is stupid... we are not caring cancer..... but it is the only thing i know how to do..." ... we said...
very honest. i like the way you put yourself out there Zack. in the purest form. you're vulnerability is what draws people in. so many people pick up a fancy $1500 camera, shoot in P or AUTO, and then charge $2000 for a wedding! I would not dare charge a dime until I knew what I was doing. Now, I am confident that I can get the shot and I kind of feel the ambient light settings the moment I enter a room. You have to free yourself from the burden of fighting with the camera in a shoot.
I just wanna ask about this if you are photographer, is any camera can work for us just to make our photo looks better or it depends how we take pictures? Is it okay to use any camera for a photographer?
I loved the three day workshop! I can still hear "clean head, eyes to the light, know your gear, stay focused, do not get into debt" I am honored to have had such a teacher at the beginning of my third career and really appreciate CL for their work.
I wish I'd watch this a year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago. Zack is so much in my head right now that its scary and I've only watched this first 30 minutes. Every now and again I can clearly mark my life changing moments...this is one of them. Thanks Vox Efx for being a lighthouse. Zack, thank you for being real and vulnerable and unselfish. I will never forget you!
Zack Arias is an amazing photographer. I've seen his work and it's definitely outstanding. What I like the most about this guy is how clearly and effectively he can share his knowledge with other people. I really enjoy seeing him teaching and I've learned a lot from him.
I missed the first day...will there be a way for me to rewatch the "know your camera, aperture, shutter speed" etc before the class starts on Saturday???
Zack Rocks! What he says makes sense because he talks from experience and the heart and cares enough about people to teach them so they don't make the same mistakes he had to learn the hard way!

Jasmine Star could benefit from this guys course. She is the sum total of what he is describing here. All business and little skill.
