Well all dogs find difficulty in weaving between the poles, so don't worry. I am training my Border Collie to this, but she is really small, so I am going to have to enter her in the Mini class! But luckily she is as fast as lightning and can jump about 1.2 metres.
ya right Akita's may be stubborn but my girl can also do those things with time Akita's are very good sporting dogs! that person needs a reality check!!!
Agility is the "Sport for all dogs", even if the AKC says that adding "Sport for all PUREBRED dogs"! Pretty good for an Akita... work on faster weaves, it helps alot in competition!
im teaching my dog agility also. did you buy a kit or sumthin? Its soo sad because an Akita attacked a little boy in my city, so you have to have a special lisence to own one now. they are soo sweet and cute.....
haha, i recognize that strawberry.. mine would never do that either.. she doesnt even bring a ball back.. all she is interested in are chickens and ducks.. Speargus, this is GREAT for an akita.. congratulations to the owner..

Great video!! The only things I'd work on would be the poles and maybe try to get her excited and going faster?? My dog can be like that too lol!!

Any breed can do Agility, it depends more on the dogs personality rather than its breed. :3

I just love akitas. Really, any dog can do agility with the right training. I've seen basset hounds do it, so there's no reason an akita can't.
~~Your akita is GORGEOUS!!!~
