This is such a great speech, however; I would have loved to her in lus hmoob only because I think it will be so much more meaningful to hear it and to know that our contestants know the history of Hmong-Americans in their own native tongue. Will be great for CA competitions to also incorporate this.

I really like how Wisconsin incorporates this and other rounds, such as the business round, into their beauty pageant. It makes the pageant a more meaningful and important event. I hope the Hmong International New Year in Fresno will look to Wisconsin for some of these great ideas...because, honestly, all I see every year from the Hmong Intl New Year are girls flouncing around their beauty, but not truly displaying their inner beauty and intelligence as this young lady beautifully demonstrated.
