Nope, according to her, Wayne suited better when she was writing it. It went perfectly fine with the piano note. I remember her interview on much music. She was sitting on piano and sang the part of the song with the piano and she said 'Wayne' sounded better.

i read somewhere that this song is about sexual abuse...the video and the lyrics would make sense. Especially how the girl is laying out all of her dirty laundry for people to see and trying to signal the plane.

Wonderful song. A fine Canadian girl! Her husband(Raine Maida) though is a talentless twit who isn't anything remotely close to being a singer but obviously no one has told him that; and then there are his idiotic facial expressions when assaulting our eardrums with his nasally delivery.
