my specs are m17 r3 black, 2720qm processors 2.2 ghz normal 3.3 turbo, ati raedon 6970m, 1600x900 screen and a 750 gig hdd, for your budget u wound have to get the minimum, such as small hdd, cheapest processor and the cheapest screen.. i would just get the 6970, and overclcok it, it just as good as the 6990 in most games, my gfs m17x has the 6990 stock clocks and performs the same as my 6970 oc.o and my computer after taxes was 2100 including my headphones and external speakers.. it was 1750

@krazor8 you could get couypons through talking too dell when u cLL THEN, MOST OF THE TIME THEY HAVE DISCOUNDTS THAT THEY DONT ADVERTISE.. for 1600 u should be able to get 1 close to mine

@krazor8 also what is your take on sager np 8150? which has 6990m! it is really ugly but it comes @ 1551$ with all specifications required! dunno abt coupons, i tried talking by dell chat but none gave me coupons? do they give it by phone call order? this might be a stupid question : r u really loving ur lappy? also is d weight too much for carrying around?? damn alienware is overpriced...they should hav AT LEAST put 1080p screen as default config! hav to buy soon ..cant wait for alienware!

@kanalkunal the sagers is ok, my freind has 1 and he has over heated it multiple times play small games like shift 2, and about dell saying 2044 is ur final price, thhey told me the same thing, and i got them to get me a discount, and i do love this laptop, it plays crysis 2 on dx 11 setting perfectly, and also ps1,ps2,gamecube and other emultators.. its a lil heavy but if ur strong enough u should be good, its not to heavy, but its not light either.

@krazor8 does overclocking d card does any damage?? i mean will it perform d same after 3 years? ( i will of course upgrade d card :P ) but does it slow down d computer or any other technical probs?? man how did u manage to get to 1750$?? my specs would be same as ur's except headphones n speakers....well yeah nxt year stronger cards will come out with 28mm size.....so i am thinking to stick with 6970m....upgrading d card nxt year depends on my high school board marks!!! O_O

thats shows 3 pre made configs, all pretty good, my advice honestly would be save about 400 more and go for the big 1

@kanalkunal u can save 400 and yes it is upgradable, but u have to remeber, if u have the 6970 or 6990m idt they support 3d yet
