Jerusalem should not be put in the hands of religious and political lunatics and fanatics. Why Jerusalem can't be open to Israelis and Palestinians? To Jews, Muslims., Christians, Atheists and a so on? We therefore need mutual understanding and based upan it PEACE.

This guy has no idea what he is talking about. Israel has taken much pride in the fact that there has been a Christian and Islamic presence in Jerusalem. This can be seen as Israel has financially maintained all the holy sites of other religions and has allowed complete freedom of worship. During the 19 years of Jordanian control of East Jerusalem, it was a trashdump and Jews were not allowed into the old city.

the reason the city has the nicname "Jerusalem of Gold" is because of the local graninte stone used to build the walls, and the red earth that, when dried into bricks, acquires a gold-like color. The buildings and walls together, at least David's Jerusalem, combined with the sunlight gave the impression that the city was made of gold. However Jerusalem now, the old city is the old Aeolia Capitolina, a Roman city, David's Jerusalem is gone.

spreadthegospel that is not what Revelation is talking about. Revelation 21:2 is referring to the heavenly Jerusalem which John saw in a vision. That verse is not implying that the earthly Jerusalem will have gold streets.
