While most the park remains timeless, it was really cool to see what the lodge looked like 20 years prior to my visit. When visiting the lodge, it was discussed how bad it was for the trees to be getting killed by insects, yet this video has gone to show, it was ongoing at that time as well, and is simply a part of nature's cycles.

This brings back a lot of great memories. My family and I used to hike Mt. Leconte every year from the time I was two years old (well, I got carried up the first couple of times)... :)
