  • +- R2 000 for a good day sliding on about 10 - 14 tires. We generally use second hand tires pressure them to 400kPa so they last a bit longer. Yourself, how much would you spend on a days sliding?

  • that girl has my dream car

  • i love drifting!

  • like how much money lets say a drifter spend on tires in a day of practice?

  • @jchino24 well, about 12 set on a decent day driving.

  • @SuperDriftZ so how much money do you guys spend on a decent day of drifting?

  • "They'll steer you in the right direction" lol

  • fuck my ek9 and i can make that happen any time but i love to drag

  • fuck yeah holden monaro! best cars. :P

  • 'get into drifting' .....na i want to get into you

  • some one slap dat bitch please.

  • Do they know anything about drift???Everybody says that you need good tires...Who teach them how to drift?????haven't they heard the drift king keichi tsuchiyia saying that fora beginner tires are NOT important and he used to use 4 different tire types in once when he was learning how to drift????you have to hear someone who really knows how to drift berofe saying these crap......

  • come to an event like this, start talking to the drivers, the organisers, sponsers, and they'll steer you in the right direction <-------PUN OR WHAT

  • dmcc driver marco santos FTW

  • 0:01

  • a boss 305 drifting is better than these cars. but it also modified, :). but i think these things can smoke my boss 305.

  • so is my 5 spd rear wheel drive tacoma qualified for this..... it is now!

  • Drifting is for morons with ricers who like to go slow.

Try getting a decent car, take it to a real race track (i.e. not a ring), and try real racing.

  • @Kholdstaer Drifting is all about precise driving meanwhile controling oversteer. For that you need some serius practice and knowledge plus feelling for your car. So please DO NOT think drifting is "shit".

  • @MiseryShoeStudios Gee, replace "drifting" with "racing", take out the oversteer (usually), and you get a description of actual racing. gee whiz, funny how that works. So yes, i will still consider drifting shit. At the end of the day, its people deciding who was the best at going slow and sideways, where, at any point, the judges have more influence on who wins than the drivers.

  • @Kholdstaer About racing, YES, I love racing, you're right it mostly depends on the driver, all I was trying to say, is that drifting is just another league of racing... If you don't like it, I don't mind, nobody should.

  • @MiseryShoeStudios You are missing the most important difference between the two things. In racing, there will always be someone who crosses the line first, and they will win. This is unfortunately lacking in drifting. In drifting, the time taken to finish the course really doesn't matter. You win by impressing someone. Saying drifting is the same as racing is like saying cheerleading is like basketball. There is no debating the final score in basketball, but you can second-guess the judging.

  • @Kholdstaer haha it doesnt matter have you ever been to a drifting event it attracts alot of girls bro

  • @Kholdstaer your a fucking idiot, its based on the angle of the drift, how close to the wall you are, and the speed of the drift. wow yea its way funner watching fucking cars take about a hundred laps on a boring track, yeah way better fannybandit

  • @xXskidooshXx You basically just proved my point for me: drifting is about impressing a judge, and racing is not. And it doesn't matter which is more fun to watch. I dont watch racing. I go racing in my own car, around a track at an average of 100 mph. Which will always be more fun that puttering around at 30 mph.

  • @Kholdstaer pro drifters drift at around 80-100 mph idiot, my grandma can race a fucking car its simple, go drive your civic

  • i olweiz dreamed of being a car racer or a drifter ! :D datz 1 of my ultimate dream :))

  • who's the babes????!!! haha

  • lol this is really a sport? thats so cool.... but i still love drifting in my 2005 tahoe 5.3 V8 :)

  • why does the chick drifter look like my auntie?

  • I Want Revenge! bit . ly/jerku

  • lol look at 1:31 epicccccccccccccccccc faillllllllllllllllllllllll

  • why you need good seats ?

  • @TheQwik1 to keep your ass where its supposed to be.

  • @TheQwik1 cause you get thrown around in the car, bruises on your legs aren't fun lol

  • 2. think of someone u like

    3. press F10 5 times

    4. send this to 5 youtube videos

    5. look at ur backround

  • i think that chick just likes the word tires. she doesnt know much about drifting obviously if she thinks tires are the main thing. you have to have a good all around car which means bullet proof engine and cluth, and stiff suspension. sure tires burn up fast, but they are not the main accessory in drifting

  • @TheRangersOfWoolley no but they're up there. I'd say 1. Diff

    2. Coilovers

    3. Tires

You can easily get a stock single cam 240 with those three things listed above sideways. I put coilovers at 2 because those are going to be you're biggest drop in terms of body roll.

  • @Caveit77777

    this man speaks the truth.

    2nd priorities:

    4. Radiator

    5. Alignment

    6. Strut Bars

  • @Caveit77777 not to mention, the diff is always gonna be the most important thing, since its not very fun getting a car w/ an open diff sideways lol. Or so I've heard, I'm trying to start building something this summer, but I don't have a streetable 240 shell, haha.

  • @Caveit77777

and then a bucket seat, and sway bars

  • @TheRangersOfWoolley i believe your wrong sir. you need a good set of tires if your pushing serious HP. believe it or not but GRIP is a crucial factor in drifting. If your tires are just spinning without grip, it wouldn't propel the car forward. Not to mention the need for steering control. i think you know less than a chick. just sayin though.

  • @gillieman760 Hi man i agree with you but this is supposed to be a begginers video and a begginer don't need good tires..in fact practing in wet asphalt helps a lot in learning how to drift....know if you re aalready a skilled drifter of course you'll need the best tires you can have or afford but then it means you have a really powerfull car....i'm just saying this because i heard the drift king Keichi Tsuchiyia saying so and i also experienced this myself while learning how to drift....

  • imagine that woman bein your mom :o what does your mom do for a living. shes a pro drifter

  • the comments for this video are full of fail

  • i agree with forward32 :P

  • Drifting seems like a good maneuver to escape from zombies.

  • @Noodless121 yeah i dont want zombies all over my hood

  • @Noodless121 Isnt it a fuck that there happens to be no zombies in existance

  • @Noodless121 lol but happens when ur tire runs out of rubber and the zombies r not far ? XD

  • @SRD297 Always carry spares with a great pit crew.

  • "do you think you have what it takes to burn some serious rubber?"

actually yes i do, let me get my 12-pack of condoms biatch

  • lol u couldent have said it better

  • @visualkei72 hahahaha nice one dude..

  • @jufrabappa

    :D

  • @visualkei72 ahahaha

  • @skateer25

    XD

  • @visualkei72 haha fuckin priceless bro,,, nice one

  • @visualkei72 simply L O L that is the shit i was immediately thinking :)

  • @visualkei72 haha its has 69 thumps up :D

  • @visualkei72 hahahaha i'm loving it!

  • loved to end with a smoking

  • hey...i have been wanting to go fast my whole life and always thought about drifting and wanted to try..anyone know a good website or place to talk to a pro drifter or someone who is in the same position as me and has accomplished what they want..

  • yea good seats.

  • hav a passion for the sport = bam, ur a drifter :D

  • Something about a girl drifting makes me kinda horny..

  • i've seen a honda civic drift very smoothly!! you just gotta know really good to drift it.

  • no.

  • @7062646896

You CAN'T drift a Civic for starters, it's fwd, not possible, unless your on snow or ice.

  • dont know why this comment has been downrated, because he/she is right

And you would never drift a car on snow/ice, what would happen is you would try it and then have a very big skid, followed by a crash and the sound of crushing metal.

  • @aenima187

Yeah I know, I was just making a point, that you have to lock the ebrake to even try to drift a civic, which it'd be more of a powerslide, not drift.

  • yea if you dont know what a steering wheel is

  • I once saw a Citroen 2CV drift

    (Joke)

  • Besides who wants to drift these Japanese Playstations on wheels anyway?

  • Comment removed

  • id burn a rubber jonny up that bitch

  • LMAO nice comment haha

  • you can drift in a Front wheel drive do it in reverse simple

  • "...You need an RWD car to drift..."

Okay, then tell Ken Block he's not drifting with his Impreza...

  • well i dont know so dont flame me about it but just saying he couldve converted to a rwd because of the weight distrubution of the car??

  • if you mean Ken Block could convert his car to RWD: he could, but why would he convert it if he's not a drifter, but a rally pilot (or we could say stuntman after all these jumps he made :D)

Anyway if you want to drift in D1GP or Formula D, you are required to have an RWD car. I think it's one of the rules...

  • i see what your saying ya rally drifiting is alot easier and plus its technique this is on pavement and your starting out at 100 mph

  • It's not easier... Maybe not even harder. You need to practice and you can master all of these drift styles. And actually you drift with 100 mph with RWD drift as well. And it's easy to tell somebody to hit the E-Brake at 100 Mph, but it's not that easy in real life (actually I'd piss myself doing that)

  • completely agree, and yes you must have a RWD car to compete in FD and D1

  • why AWD aint good? :O

  • AWD is great, but they just don't allow it in Formula D, or D1 because they can't drift as fast, and they can't sustain the drift as long either. FWD cars CANNOT drift...PERIOD!! must have power to the rear wheels

  • 4WD generally gives you understeer

With most Japanese cars you can adjust the onboard computer to set the distribution of the power coming from each axle. If your wanting to drift easily and well what you want is probably around

    20% to the front

    80% to the rear

Which if you think about is still kind of AWD...just not equal AWD

  • Tell your neighbour to drift like Ken Block because AWD drifting is obviously sooo easy

  • Thats not drifting... thats powersliding retard

  • omg...

ask a real drifter what is powersliding then call me a retard. If I'm right powersliding is a drift where you don't use your gas. You perform a powerslide with a RWD car if you hit the hand break at the end of the corner. You perform a drift if you start from the start and you keep on driving sideways with the help of the clutch, the brake and the gas pedal (basically everything)

  • why are you watching this video? it says drifting not drag

  • ... she is a "Professional" but tahts her second event... anyone else confused by that?

  • just you...

    PRO=she's paid to win. LOSER!

  • her second profesional event dumbass

  • Good Suspension, Good tires, GOOD SEATS W*F, okk lets all buy SEATS for Drifting hahahah

  • hell ye, so u dnt fly off the window

  • hahaha lol.....

  • she has got a point, they dont go sideways with 10kmh you knowe. Good seats that keeps you in the middle during drift and not lets you slide from side to side

  • Of course! Remember Tokyo Drift was nothing but a Sparco commercial.

  • drifting is art man .. These guys are awsome .. push a car in such a way without spinning and ending in Donuts .. respect to them who can Drive a car like that and have the Monney to buy a laaaaarge Ammount of Tires ^^

  • Drifting aint shit....it is a work of art. You take an already complex machine, fine tune it, make her look pretty, then hold a perfect slide interconnecting them together to form....a drift. People say its easy, admitadly in need for speed its just 2 buttons but in the real world guys....it takes alot of skill and practice.

  • Comment removed

  • Can you drift? STFU!

  • to do some local events and what not it doesnt take to much money. But to go pro the simple fact of the matter is that you need a shit load of money. I have a friend that went pro formula D and D1 But Hes a piolt with a 6 figure income

  • rofl you are so full of shit

  • Yeah but you need practice to become good and get a sponser...so you need to waste...LOTS AND LOTS of dough to get that good

  • Man that must be an expensive sport!!! all those tyres and whatnot

  • if you get good you get a tire sponser.then you can roast all the tires you want. :-)

  • not entirely true yes getting sponsored by a tire company is good. however if your a beginner its all about whom you know not what you know. i know a person down here that sells tires $20 a tire. yes used but you dont want your tires to be 100% you dont want that much traction if you want to practice. i began at a church parking lot in my FC3S. any time i want to practice i take off my sexy rims and put on some fucked up used $20 tires. i get to practice without paying alot

  • the blond should be my wife , ill mary a cars fan girl :P

  • well i think she would want a husband that can spell right but if you're in the car world, a sexy woman that loves cars is always the ideal.

  • i dont speak english XD

  • they maintain you (good seat = bucket-seat), otherwise, because of the inertia force you would get out of a "normal seat"

  • read the post before yours

  • Yea I said already said things ..

my youtube bugs and messages are not placed where they should be..

for instance, yours is situated at the top of msg list instead of being underneath mine -_-

  • aaaaaa ocu iii jaaaaaa

  • people that think seats are not important you have no clue about drifting PERIOD

  • Exactly.

  • for safety the seat is very important but if u don't care about safety u still need to have bucket/racing seats because u sit in a tight place and you don't bounce all over the place when you drift or race

  • Im a drifter and I use stock seats. All you need is pretty much an LSD or Welded Diff...thats pretty much it.

  • Global warming My ASS

Drift is One of the best Motorsport of all time .

  • DMCC woot woot

  • global warming!

  • rear wheel drive RWD :Dlol

i wanna get ahold of 1 of these 2 people :)

  • Once you practice, you may become a International drift star!!

  • Yes you do, if it's not RWD it's not a real drift. You can drift any car, even a FWD, but it will never be accepted as real drifting.

  • You are so right. I once heard Orido call it "Ass dragging" on an Option Auto video. But that EF Civic looked really cool drifting with a bunch of Silvias and Chasers.

  • you need to watch ken block and go to japan dud and tell me where did you git your source from

  • if it isnt a RWD then it counts as a powerslide NOT a drift

  • and you go to japan before talking your from the U.K come on lad your smarter than this watch ken bloke or watch skyline drift or something oh btw i drift rwd awd ff and xwd and cross wheel drive and what iam saying is that rwd are not the only drift car they are the beast ones but you can drift and other cars iam not trying to argue just educate that is all not trying to git of on the wrong foot just saying you can drift with more than just rwd cars ok

  • Your a dumbass. FF= Powerslide.

    RWD= Drift

    AWD= Awesome Drift

  • WRONG.

    FF = ass dragging.

  • dont knock FF drift, its alot harder then RWD,

  • you never ever drifted, didn't you? ^^

  • not in a fwd car. you cant. thats ass dragging, not drifting. i bet you drive a honda civic that you think is fast. or youre 12 and the only drifting youve done is in need for speed.

  • watch?v=YLj-d9ge3Es

    that's a drag..

    and these cars are rwd

and no, I own a 525 and also tried drifing in a 630, not that easy!

  • hahahahahahaha hell yeah

  • LOL.

  • dude stfu u dont know anyone

  • alot of canadian drifters in this, i recognize a few of my friends in this vid

  • When ashley said "Do you think you have what it takes o burn some serious rubber"

I grinned ear to ear ;)

  • YES SEATS YOU DORKS. fixed back bucket seat bolted to the floor give you ALOT more feed bacK from the car i.e you are alot more aware excatly when your back wheels will break traction. how the suspension components react in real time, differential. a seat wont make you an instant drifter but it gives you alot of feedback to work with and how your car reacts. and yea when i was 18 i thought i was the best n new it all , wrong , any dork can throw around a 83 rwd sigma in the gravel guys

  • drifting has become too commercial here thats what I hate about it, otherwise FUN STUFF!

As for the drifting haters that would rather drag race... i guess driving in straight lines are fun... good'ol american redneck fun right?... yeah drifting is definately way more fun and skillful than shifting up all the way down a straight stretch... how exciting... NOT!

  • i agree. i got an sti and ppl are always trying to race you kno. i like having fun and so dose my sti. it hates being red lined and challenged. but it loves goin out and doin donuts you kno

  • Comment removed

  • you'd be suprised, seats are actually 80% of drifting. No good seats, you can't drift

  • lol no, LSD's are your 80% of drifting. have none, you can't.

  • haha i like how somebody put a thumbs down on my older comment! Like they take it seriously!

  • who needs an L.S.D wen u can jus lock it and get just as sideways :)

  • iunno.. people who want control?

  • That probably helps more in 360s and tight turns.

  • yeah wtf, "you need a rear wheel drive, after that you need good tires, good suspension, GOOD SEATS <----- WHAT THE FUCK HAHAHAHAHAHA this guys a fucking retard lol

  • good seats my ass, that guy has no clue, i did fine with a standard sierra and it held me in fine! lol

  • no, you're retarded, you get thrown around like mad without bucket seats.

  • Install racing seats, your held in better, 5 point attachment belts, and bolting it down in plae to your car makes a big difference compared to stock seats

  • 1:00 LOL HE SAID YOU NEED GOOD SEATS??

  • Well you do need good seats.

  • the world of drifting lol

  • my way to save mony is use junk yard tyers to drift

  • hey "joker360"... an ALL WHEEL DRIVE wit the front shaft inactive is a ... what? turns into a what? rearwheel drive car? and skylines also hav just real wheel applications. look i up. i bet ur civic dx is a great drifter in the snow huh?

  • hahaha well said i get pissed off about the same shit theres to many dumbfucks thinking they know something

  • yes...but by locking off the front drive shaft u are making the car RWD as the power can no longer go though to the front wheels

  • your soo stupid dude lmao

  • I don't care what your displacement is, or how many cylinders you have, but the guys who

let you know that drifting is strictly RWD. They're right. I have a Z32 that will go sideways as hell, but my favorite car is my 84 Celica GT-S. Not FWD...

  • id like to burn some rubber on her. OHHHHH

  • hahahha nice 1

  • about the whole FWD drifting...there is a huge difference between power-sliding and drifting. any 16yr old with a car can powerslide, but drifting is a very precise. you have to control the angle of the drift, you have to maintain speed and momentum. grabbing the e-brake and sliding around a corner is nowhere near that complex... i have seen some pretty skilled power-sliding tho. but still nothing compared to competitive drifting. to conclude FWD cars can NOT drift, no matter what you say.

  • true that

  • GET A V8

  • GET A LIFE

  • iv all reddy got one mustangs drift and there a V8 damn your a dumb fool

  • wut the fuck, bitch, dont put words in my mouth, did i say v8 couldnt drift? no, i know v8's can drift thats y they have fuckn gto's out there too, punk ass.......
