....and since when was the Korean peninsula considered "half the world"? ? Korea was never worth WW3, or even anything remotely outside a regional proxy war.
Did you even read my post? Korea isn't worth WW3. Wasn't worth WW3 in the first Korean War, neither will US and China get into any real war against each other outside the Korean peninsula.
I was gonna ask you if you've been here, but I thought to just search your channel. I have always been fascinated by this place. Have you ever seen the Propaganda village?
I know that technically they're still at war, but all these restrictions on where you can and cannot take pictures makes no sense. I mean really, nothing here is a big secret. I'm sure they have their reasons.
Wow, imagine SK and NK were united and the railways were connected. The world will get even smaller. Train ride from South Korea to North to China to Russia to Europe! Imagine that... Behold a new Silk Road... Nay, a Steel Road.
reminds me of the time in cyprus when at the end of the southern side of ledra there was a wall and it had a small window and we could peer into the dead zone dividing north and south cyprus....
I remember that story, the axe murder incident. How impressed were you with the ROK soldiers that just stand there frozen. Thanks for this video, I havent seen that place since 1992.
Thats an amazing bit of history, the fact you share all of your adventures with us makes the expearience a learning expearience for everyone. The reunification of the two Koreas is such an important step for world peace.
I do. There is currently a SK plant in the North. They ship raw materials to the facility, employ NK workers, and then ship the product south. The average wage in NK is $30/mo and the SK employer pays $50/mo - there's already an improvement. Once Kim Jong Il is out of office, things will progress. Give it 20 years.
This video flew by for me, didn't even realize it was almost 10 minutes. Very cool! Would be nice if in our lifetime, we see unification of the two Koreas.
The name "demilitarized zone" is of course an oxymoron.

Phead128 1 month ago
@Phead128 Korea is the place where China and US actually 'face' in their allies land.
This place is the hottest melting spot, no doubt.
If theres a war between north and south korea that will easily take to the war between US and China

@MrJingjong You can see it from the observation platform. Hard to get a really good picture from the areas that they let to snap from though.

I don't know if you even answer these comments anymore but its worth a shot. How much does a trip like this cost?
buddyisreal23 3 months ago
@buddyisreal23 It really depends. Some tours are cheap at W30,000 while some are more expensive. This one now, I believe, goes for W120,000.

@qiranger now is that in won?

When they discovered an infiltration tunnel, my dad was in the army. He said they had to sleep ready to fight.
