I understand all basics and i thank you for the video, one thing i have trouble with is, sending them to the right Altitude and the correct drection, i find it really hard to use the Big compass lol, any ideas on using the compass?

@CrazyDoug17 The compass is rarely supposed to be used, before flight or if some failure if ever.

Always use Instruments. Altitude EX: Flight level 125 (is 12,500 ft) FL 090 (is 9,000 ft). Heading EX: Heading 150 (is 150 degrees). Always say call sign first. 9 is pronounced niner

@dadojedado Yeah man i know that, bassicly i have issues in directing the aircraft into the airport, EX...say i want to make the aircraft turn left heading 125 towards their destination, or towards approach, how do i know where their destination is? make reasearch before going on? and as for the approach do i also do some reasearch and find out the final approach heading? another thing is like after takeoff, if its IFR, and the have to go through a VOR, how do i know the heading their?

How do you find out more information about the airport that you are controlling? Say if I requested directions to active runway, and they tell me "Take taxi Bravo to turn left on Lima, hold short of runway 07L" How did they know what taxi ways and runway from the ATC???

@TheFatfrogproduction no you dont always need a mic. if you push alt button on the lower right corner of the keyboard a little thing will appear in the top left corner of the screen click on the view button, then scroll down until u see chat window click on it. it will tell u everyone in the game and u can type a message to them if u dont have a mic. so u dont always need a mic.

@ameouchi You need the exspanion pack for FSX or you Need Service Pack 2, Look it up on google and download it. It will offer multiplayer fixes, and you will be able to eject unwanted players from your session. Note:the accerlation adon for FSX is not free, however Service Pack 2 is.

@ameouchi Well you can't kick people from other peoples session you have to host your own session. Once you host your own session and people join you press 'Enter' and find the name(s) of the people you want to kick 'right click' and click 'kick from session'.

i did install it the first time i've played FSX and it was gray so i uninstalled it and reformatted my hdd install without SP1 and same result

so then i reinstalled Vista and reformatted all my drives installed FSX no sp1 and again i have gray windows......

Where you select your aircraft if you look up a little there should be a thing that says pilot click the pull down bar and click Air Traffic Control. If there is no selectiong for that then you need to install FSX Deluxe Edition. Sorry for taking so long to respond i've been out of town.

I did a serious ATC session once. But no one listened or just said wrong word for each letter so i didn't understand and most of them were germans so i didn't understand them.

Yeah some people are like that. Just ignore them or kick them and tell give them simple rules, hard rules people don't remember people wont do them at all. A good idea is to open up Notepad, then put in on notepad what you wanna say then copy and paste it into the chat box and tell them to look in ther for the rules. Thats what i do and it works like a charm!

yes you can, make sure you update to SP2 before joining online. If I am not mistaking gold gives you the Garming 1000 glass cockpit on some aircrafts plus more airports, and the deluxe gives you gold plus the Acceleration Expansion (btw on Deluxe you dont need to update to SP2 the installation does it for you) which brings the F18, P51, new helicopter (cant remember the name) and some other stuffs.

Great video, but anyone looking for a realistic experienc should start flying with VATSIM or IVAO...

"PRO-ATC" sessions are actually arcade games. NO squawk codes, NO realistic radars, and noone uses SIDs and STARs anymore.

From the radar,how do you know which runway is which.Like say there is runway 20c and 2 how do know know which side in the radar left right up or downis 20c or 2.Some times the plane is right infront of me,in the radar it shows me that the aircraft is behind.How do you know where the exxact position your tower is in the radar as well.

Just type in what runway your taking off from, Your Alt that your going to be wanting to climb to, Your Speed that you wish to climb to, all of the important stuff and destination than put your Call Sign at the beggining and last. If you want something that looks pro do this: World Travel 714 -4L - 40,000 - 190KNOTS - KLAX KPDX - World Travel 714

Just got FSX, and the session I was on they were asking for an ATC, so I pipped up, and I was doing good, "Cleared taked off runway 29 Lima, you have a 737 coming in thats 20 NM away, you should be able to beat 'em out"... Till someone started asking me for vectors...
